Our hosts were great to work with and responded very quickly to the freezer giving out. The outside was not pristine but overall we enjoyed our stay. Pictures were very accurate although maybe abit outdated. WE made lots of great memories.
The hosts were amazing and the neighbor dogs were just the sweetest. Any issues were dealt with promptly and the host even bright us a pie and cookies for the kids. Any questions or concerns were answered. We will be back next year for our large group.
We have visited this location multiple times and the owners are very welcoming and helpful. This lodge is perfect for our large family with plenty of games and space for us to enjoy. We also love the care takers dog Zappa that keeps watch over us while we’re there.
Great place to stay! Very clean and spacious, perfect for a gathering of friends or family. The property is beautiful and quiet. If the weather keeps you indoors there are plenty of games and activities to enjoy as well.
House itself was great to the review. Host was very nice and helpful. The pond was not maintained. Kids and grandkids were looking forward to fishing in the pond. The pond was overgrown mossy, tons of frogs and poison ivy around it. Host did bring use more towels after we used them all the first night by taking bath/showers due to the poison ivy.Host also said they will take care of the poison ivy . I had to pull weeds and clean swings so the grandkids could play on the swing set and sand box area. Plenty of room to play kick ball and wiffle ball. I recommend some rails on the bunks. 7 yr old Granddaughter fell out of top bunk while sleeping. She broke her nose and bone around her eye spent 24 hrs at children hospital. Also, recommend cameras for outside. The friendly quiet dogs. We’re barking one night daughter n law looked out and 2 men were walking around our cars. Nothing happen to them
This is a great location for family get together or reunion. The property easily fits a large group. We had a large Thanksgiving dinner, the big kitchen with 2 ovens was perfect. The large gathering space had lots of games and perfect for socializing.
Our stay was great. The whole family had a wonderful time.We did get rain, but there was so much to do in the lodge that we hardly noticed. This location is on our short list for a return next year.
We were looking for a lodge to hold a large group of dads and sons and this was the perfect fit! A great place with plenty of room. Hosts were excellent and the space is amazing.
The little lodge is a great place to stay with your extended family! There was plenty of space to spread out but also plenty of space when we were all together. It is out in the country and very peaceful! There is a lot to do basketball, volleyball, a pool table and more. We are already talking about a future trip back to the little lodge.
We stayed there to go to Columbus which was a little challenging with the location but the house makes up for any concerns you may have. Great layout for large groups and ample bathrooms and entertainment.
We had a group of 18 that stayed for 2 nights. We had a wonderful time! It's such a remote and beautiful property! The kitchen had everything we needed and the place has a western/woodsy feel.
The house was very spacious and had a large "game room" that we were all able to hang out together in. When the weather allowed we used the basketball courts as well. Large kitchen/dining area that seated plenty and had everything we needed to cook for a large crowd.
We hosted our company retreat at this property and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It provided the perfect setting to relax, recharge, and enjoy quality time together as a team. The kitchen was well-equipped and ideal for preparing group meals, while the game room was a big hit—offering plenty of entertainment with all the games provided. A truly comfortable and fun space for both work and play. We were a little sad there was no hot tub but we still highly recommended!
Owners replaced hot water heater that wasn't working so that showers possible second day. Everything was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the 1:00 check-in that was great for our out-of-state family.
We needed a place that could sleep about three dozen, and had most activities on a single level. This property delivered. Tonya and Ken were responsive and accommodating to our needs. I deducted one star only because it was advertised as having a hot tub, but the hot tub was removed over the winter, and we didn’t realize that until we arrived. We really liked this place, and would r interested in renting again next year.
The lodge worked out well for our family gathering; already booked it for next year. The space was large enough for us to spread around, with the large game room plus the dining room area, especially since we didn’t have the best weather (very hot with some rain). The kitchen was also large enough to handle several cooks working at the same time. Tonya answered all of my questions & concerns promptly. One issue was the lack of a bathroom on one wing. Anybody sleeping on that end of the lodge had a bit of a walk to get to a bathroom.
We booked with a 20 person party of family members of all ages. Everything was just as described but above and beyond. I love cooking big meals and they literally had everything I needed and then some in the kitchen. The cleanliness was immaculate, the game room was fully functional and better than expected, the amount of in house entertainment never ran out. The parking easily accommodated us and we could have had several more vehicles with no issue. We also found many fun things to do within 20-40 minutes of the property. It gave us privacy, but having the caretakers (dogs) visit added so much. The walls and doors do a great job as sound barriers as people were able to sleep, even as we were in the other room playing pool and table tennis.
This location was perfect. Fully equipped kitchen for our group of 24 people, we were able to cook all the food for all three days were were there. There was plenty of room in the refrigerators and we brought food for 24 people over three days. We also had plenty of room to all eat together with comfortable chairs and tables. There were lots of fun games to play. The owners were so hospitable and answered questions very quickly. One of our group even lost a single hearing aid and they found it and mailed it to us after we had left.We would come back if the opportunity presented itself and we have been telling our friends to look into staying there if they want to have a family reunion too.
