Lovely, peaceful little getaway`

We were looking for somewhere off the grid to vacation for our anniversary, cat in tow, and George's Hilltop was perfect. Very clean, simple but comfortable surroundings, beautiful countryside - overall it was just what we needed.

This was a beautiful place to stay! The loft was lovely, clean, beautifully appointed, with peaceful surroundings. We would definitely stay here again. On a scale of 1-10 this one is a 10! Thanks for a great weekend. P.S. check out the Laughing Horse Saloon in nearby Thompsonville. Sit at the bar. Food, drinks and staff are great.

Cozy Loft Cabin in a great location for skiing!

The loft was lovely and fresh, just what we needed as home base for our skiing/sledding/tubing trip. It was great to be able to bring the dogs on our trip with us, and there was plenty of open space to have them wear themselves out. Having Wifi access was a nice bonus. Definitely coming back next year!

Enjoyable space

Conveniently located near Crystal Mountain. Very clean, comfortable & well kept.... we’ve stayed multiple times. Our dog loves to explore the spacious yard, we’ve previously hiked some of the trails (weather permitting) would definitely recommend and will return in the future.

Perfect for a More Relaxed Trip

My friends and I wanted to venture and explore the Sleeping Bear Dunes and Northern Michigan for a few days but didn't want to be directly in Traverse City. This stay was peaceful, private, and perfectly located for us. When I had a question, Dusty, the owner, responded in no time which was incredibly nice. The property was beautiful, clean, and even more than what we expected. We will definitely stay again if we come back.

A great weekend get-away

Everything about this spot was as expected. It was clean when we arrived. Plenty towels in the bath (and decent water pressure and immediate hot water!). Plates, silverware, pots, etc, in the kitchen. It was cozy and exactly what we were looking for. The only drawbacks were a very strong smell that had me opening the windows immediately upon entering and the bed was terrible. The mattress was worn out and I kept waking up in the center of the bed at the lowest point. The bed and smell weren't bad enough to keep me from returning, but something I would note to anyone thinking of staying there. I LOVED not having a list of cleaning duties like at all other homes I've stayed at. Overall, I recommend it this cute home. Thanks to the Meyers family for a pleasant weekend away.

A short summer vaca

What a lovely property! It was just myself and my 12yr old Lab! The apartment was very clean& comfortable. The weather was really hot so we did our excursions in the early hours and relaxed indoors in the afternoons with the a/c. It does get a bit warm in the bedroom since the a/c is in the livingrm but I put the box fan at the bedroom door so that& the ceiling fan kept the air circulating. We visited Arcadia Dunes, the pedestrian bridge over the Manistee River, two lighthouses, Interlochen State Park, and several wineries north of Traverse City. We sat outside in the shade a few days. It’s a bit buggy…..lots of gnats…..so bring spray. No fires in the pit. Too warm. Adequate pots/pans & dishes etc. Lotsa towels. We also loved the mowed foot paths for walking. Thanks Dusty!
