This cabin is tucked away in the mountains of beautiful Franklin, N.C. It has the comforts of home & yet is a great getaway from the hustle & bustle of everyday life. Relax & breathe fresh mountain air while listening to Mother Nature sing! A magical place to sit back and take it easy. And while out, enjoy exploring beautiful sceneries of Western Carolina along with enjoying a variety of fun activities all around.

Cowee cabin has a beautiful view of ever changing sunsets & a magestic starry sky. It’s nestled around the forest where nature plays. Enjoy wildlife, amazing skies and beautiful tree filled mountains! It’s a perfect place for one or two(2) people with one bedroom that has a king-size bed and it has two bathrooms. There’s a modern kitchen equipped with supplies for light cooking. There’s a comfortable couch to sit and enjoy the view, outside fire-pit, rocking chairs on the porch, and lounge chairs too. There’s internet(Wi-Fi) service. A television is in the bedroom with a dvd player for watching movies to fall asleep by if you don’t feel like listening to the katydids sing. There is no cable to keep you glued to a screen, so there's plenty of time to go out and enjoy Mother Nature’s beauty that’ll surround you. With a No Pet Policy and No Smoking Policy, it’s feasible for those who have allergies. A sample lease agreement is provided before booking and a copy of your driver's license to confirm your age and identity for insurance purposes is all the paperwork involved. There are outdoor security cameras used mainly to capture wildlife. This cabin nestled in the forest is a great place to unwind and finish that book you've been meaning to read! Or maybe it’s just time to relax and call it your happy place

Lovely cabin and property

We had an amazing stay. The cabin was extremely clean and comfy. The view of the mountains was beautiful, and the wooded drive was lovely as well. The location was a great home base for checking out Franklin, Bryson City, and Sylva. And to top it all off, the host is extremely kind and quick to respond. 10/10 we had a perfect trip!

Perfect pre-wedding stay

My wife and I stayed here in the days leading up to our wedding and it was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy NC before the weekend. The owner was super friendly and even had corn to feed the wildlife. We even saw baby deer while they grazed behind the house at sunset. This is one of the best and cleanest VRBOs we have stayed in. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing weekend away!

This place is gorgeous! The cabin is beautifully decorated, stocked with everything you need and very clean and comfortable. It is convenient to the town of Franklin which is delightful! And the views of the sunset and the stars from the deck are amazing. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again if we visit Franklin in the future.

Stunning views, exactly as described.

Beautiful clean well maintained property with gorgeous views. The back porch faces view of mountains that are more than 750 million year old and a little over 5000 feet high. The house has everything one needs for a comfortable stay and plenty to do in the nearby towns.

Weekend Getaway

We had a great stay at the Cabin in the woods. The view was amazing and the home was cozy. Location was perfect with food options close by. It has everything needed to cook meals if you prefer cooking rather than eating out with updated appliances, pots and pans, and an even a Panini maker! It was a wonderful weekend get away from the torrid Florida heat. Also Toula was very accomodating with some special requests and always easy to reach.

This cabin was wonderful! It is beautifully built and has just what you need for a cabin in the mountains. It is in a secluded location yet still close to great downtown areas like Bryson City and Highlands and fantastic scenic highways. Toula was very accessible and responsive to any questions we had. Great spot!

Even though this property is just off a paved road and right next to a neighborhood, there is practically no road noise or other noise pollution. Excellent view from the living room. We spent most of our time on the spacious deck reading snd enjoying the view.

Affordable Mountain Luxury

This property was truly a home away from home. The level of hospitality exceeded my expectations. The home is so well built and decorated, and THE VIEW is gorgeous. The property feels very secluded as well. I definitely recommend staying here. Franklin is a very small town with not a whole lot to do, but Asheville and lots of hiking is nearby.

Truly relaxing cabin

Beautifully constructed and decorated cabin in the Great Smokey Mountains. We were struck by the view and amazed by how quiet it was. We slept great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The top 3 things we liked about the cabin 1) Remote yet close to Franklin, NC, 2) Modern take on a log cabin in the woods. 3) Quiet solitude. We even saw two deer one morning. Really a neat place.

Nice Week in Franklin

Property was exactly as pictured in VRBO. Cabin is new and was very clean. We cooked a lot and the kitchen was had all utensils and gadgets needed. Setup is perfect for 2 people and all the amenities were excellent. Toula was extremely responsive and provided recommendations on several questions we had. Location was convenient to everything we were doing. Great rental!

We really loved this property. It was very clean and well stocked with lots of stuff! The deer coming through the backyard was so sweet and they appear to be regulars. The bed was so comfortable, we slept great. She didn’t spare expenses when furnishing and it’s obvious. Great sunrise from the deck! I do wish there was a tv in the living room but not enough to remove a star!

Everything was as advertised. GORGEOUS home with everything you need including cooking equipment, very clean, quiet & private location, comfortable bed, and beautiful views. Had some trouble finding the lockbox upon arrival but Toula was very responsive and quickly solved it for us. Quick FYI for future guests - I had no cell signal at this cabin with Sprint/T-Mobile but Verizon had a bar or two - WiFi worked great in the interim. Great hiking trails near the area as well. Will definitely be back! Thanks again Toula!

I grew up in Cowee Valley; it's my home sweet home. I love the mountains and want to spend as much time back home as I can. So, the cabin was built so I could come back home. While I'm not there, I share my special little cabin with you.

Why they chose this property

The land that the cabin is built on has been in my family for generations. A little old white cabin used to sit near the existing cabin which belonged to my great-grandmother. Growing up in Cowee Valley and missing the presence of her cabin, encouraged me to build this cabin near where the other used to stand. My parent's home is a stone's throw away from the cabin as well as other family members, so, it's a great place for me to take a break, relax and visit family. I love my special cabin and want to share my favorite getaway with you.

What makes this property unique

The cabin was custom built with pure love. It has a beautiful roadside and its forest is home of lots of wildlife.

Franklin and the surrounding area is loaded with beautiful sightseeing, specialty shops, and fun activities. You really have to see the beauty for yourself!
