We have 4 apartments - one bedroom, one bath living room with a kitchenette . Walk one block to the best beach. Beautiful green areas with herb garden, jacuzzi, barbecue, Buddha Zen waterfall and a fire pit. We have bicycles and kayaks . We can organize ocean fishing, horseback riding, kite surfing on our two lagoons, and much more !!

Just Perfect!

We loved our stay here. Out of the hustle bustle nestled among the birds,There was a beach umbrella which was great as the sun gets very hot. We came from the US so we did not have room for either beach towels or beach chairs so keep that in mind. We loved the area and Alejandra was incredibly helpful and accommodating.

AMAZING!

Absolutely fantastic. We stayed at CDL in March, and could not have been happier with our stay. The facilities are super cool, and everything is very clean and tidy. The surroundings are lovely and you are just a stones throw away from the most magnificent beach. But the absolutely best thing with our experience was Alex and her family. Alex is the kind of host you dream of. We definitely recommend this and would stay here again if in Jose Ignacio!

Totally unique experience in best part of Punta

We had a fabulous stay at the CDL - a unique assortment of 4 condos each made of a shipping container created by the owner (who notably lives downstairs). The grounds are lush and well kept, the apartments have beautiful large decks attached to well appointed interiors (all you will need), and the distance is a short bike ride or drive to town (note: rent a car - you'll want one). The owner was charming and helpful offering to make our reservations for New Years, loaning us bikes and sending us lots of great reservations and "local spots". Jose Ignacio is the most "gypset" by far of the locations and certainly beyond chic of all the neighboring beaches in a very not-fussy way. If you go during high season, make reservations for every dinner and beach club day.

A RELAXING RETREAT

a container, you think. What. Worry not. This is not what you imagine. Certainly not the shipping container you see on TV stuffed with smuggled refuges. Situated in a wooded area with the sound of birds you are not far from the village of Jose Ignacio (a mile), with the beach nearby. The accommodations are clean and functional. Slightly 50's funky. There is plenty of hot water, linens and towels. Maid service is available for a nominal fee. Ditto laundry. Two of the top Jose I restaurants are within walking distance. Saving the best for last: the owner Alejendra and her helper Grace are the BEST. We were guests at the containers for a month. Alex made calls to arrange tours, reservations at restaurants, drove us wherever (we didn't have a car). Everything was done with a smile and in good cheer. We had the opportunity to meet her family who were a lovely as she. I know that we shall remain friends. I can recommend CDL without reservation.

Great Time

My stay at the CDL was excellent. the atmosphere is very nice and pleasant, the owner, Alexandra, is a very friendly and helpful person with all the details. the loft was super organized, clean and with a super comfortable decor. the location of the CDL is very good, in the resort La Juanita, very close to Faro Jose Ignacio and just steps from the Beach and Laguna.

Muy buena onda!

El trato de Alejandra es excelente, con muy buena predisposición a orientar o solucionar cualquier inconveniente. La ubicación de los loft es muy buena (Barrio La Juanita), de fácil acceso, están a 2 cuadras de unas playas muy lindas!! (Parador La Susana), con lo cual se puede ir caminando sin problema y a unos 3km de Jose Ignacio para ir con auto. Tiene una proveeduría cerca y la zona cuenta con un par de lugares para ir a comer. Se destaca lo ordenado y la limpieza del lugar, el deck individual muy apropiado para desayunar o cenar al aire libre y el jardín del fondo donde se puede hacer asado o simplemente pasar un buen momento junto a un fogón en un lugar muy bien ambientado. Si bien las comodidades son básicas y el equipamiento de cocina no es el mejor se puede cocinar algo sencillo en el hornito eléctrico con hornallas eléctricas integradas (tómense su tiempo para que calienten y el agua que no llega a hervir), faltó un microondas, pero no molesta si no esperas lujos, hay que tener en cuenta que es un lugar para vacacionar. Lo mismo la ducha donde a veces el agua salia tibia y faltaría algo para apoyar como una jabonera. En definitiva la pasamos muy bien, en un lugar agradable y relajado. Si no esperan lujos es un lugar muy recomendable!!!

Maravilloso descubrimiento en JOSÉ IGNACIO

Con expectativas muy altas nos encaminamos para pasar 15 días en José Ignacio, y asi llegamos y desde el minuto uno se fueron cumpliendo las expectativas una a una, y la conclusión es que el Uruguay y nuestra playa frente mismo al alojamiento fueron enamorables!! En detalle, las comodidades y la disposición del lugar fueron geniales. Y lo principal en un buen lugar son la cama para descansar (10 puntos), la ducha y el agua caliente (10 puntos) y luego el estar conectados con un wifi con una conexión que volaba literalmente. Nuestro agradecimiento a Alejandra y su marido, que nos atendieron súper, siempre pendientes de dar unos buenos tips para que la estadía sea la mejor!! esperamos volver siempre, a Grey por la limpieza del lugar! Viajamos desde Asunción - Paraguay.

I was impressed by the architecture, design, decor and the gardens. A very exquisite combination, immersed in nature, close enough to the beach and the city of Jose Ignacio, far enough to make me feel in a retreat. Very confortable rooms, good shower and linnen.

Geweldige woning en lieve gastvrouw

A lovely clean, well maintained and beautiful furnished house. The house felt like a home. Alexandra and Grace took care of my daughter, the grandchildren of 4 and 5 years old and me. We had an unforgettable week. The beach is nearby and the garden with the hot tub was fantastic. The children could play freely without risk there.

fun and friendly

The owner and partner were friendly, helpful, and showed me around the area. Since I was here in Sept. it was a bit cold but was good biking and walking weather. The place is quaint, the grounds lovely and if a bit warmer would have had a fire at the fire pit. Kitchen is not for gourmet cooking but quite functional. The town was mostly closed up except for the little marketing town- great people and great sausages to be found there- made as I was standing there! Ocean to cold to go in at this time of year. The thought of staying for a week in containers was odd but they turned out to be very comfortable. Alex is great and her kids even gave me a kiss hello.... Recommended.....

Jose Ignacio - A rare combination you must experience

If you've travelled all over South America like I did, chances are you already know the breathtaking sights of many of its most renowned touristic attractions, from the natural beauty of Iguazu to mystic Machu Picchu, from Rio de Janeiro's open arms of Christ the Redeemer to those silent witnesses of the ages in Easter Island. But soon enough our travel catalogue seems tired and monotonic, like a re-run of the latest Indiana Jones movie. I personally call it "exoticism fatigue". Enter Uruguay's José Ignacio. Distant enough from the frantic glamour of the big city to be a balsam of silence, where the gentle charm of this small town settlement on a rock is only disrupted by the embrace of the Atlantic, and omnipresent seagulls singing to the wind. But I have found this small town allure to be deceivingly charming: as you fall in love for its sunsets, back horse-riding across its unspoiled sands, this is also a place where the most worldly of bon-vivants will find plenty to be thrilled about. And how would you --dear 21st century bon-vivant-- love to befriend and be delighted on a daily basis by personal chefs who also happen to be your hosts and neighbours next doors? I was thrilled to meet, dine, and hang out with Alejandra (the owner of CDL), who apart from being a brilliant host and a charming person (she even woke up in the middle of night at our request to provide extra blankets for our last-minute guests!) is also able to prepare for us some of the best dishes you will find anywhere in South America. The lofts were more than comfortable enough for us, experienced chic eco-friendly adventurers, and the overall experience of living within walking distance from La Huella (that's one restaurant you *must* visit!) and just one block away from the beach makes for a combination that --I can't overstate this-- you owe it to yourself to experience asap. I know that I keep longing for that place where time stands still and being at peace with nature is not a dream but something as tangible as the pebbles and seashells we brought back with us. Don't miss.

CDL CONTAINER DESIGN LOFTS THE BEST PLACE!!!! ORIGINAL ,FUN,BEAUTIFUL

The best vacation ever !! this magical place in the middle of the woods with a paradise beach one block away is difficult to forget.The containers are so modern and clean that when you are inside you foget where you are . An amazing view of trees an the gardens so well done . Jose Ignacio the town IS MAGICAL beautifull people all over the beaches and amaizing restaurants . In the interior of each room you see pieces that you can only find if you are a fanatic of the fifties and sixties . We loved it and recommend this place a hundred porcent !!!

Great vacation!

Beautiful place to stay. Excellent architecture combined with confort. Jose Ignacio is a peninsula where you have it all. From the best restaurants to paradise beaches combined with nature and wildlife. Perfect for a couple or couple with a child (size-wize). Owner is also one of the best cheff around, where specialities are always available. Definitely one of the hottest places to stay in Latin America.

Super-original container lofts

Our stay in your super-original container lofts was just great! the apartment was comfortable and we loved the interior design - the garden was close to magical especially in the warm evenings with the jacuzzi, pond and leafy vegetation - outdoor grill and table a real plus! As for the location, we walked to great beaches and loved the beautiful informal gourmet restaurants and eclectic little boutiques - it was easy to walk around, chat with beautiful people - everyone so friendly - as far as we could find out, everyone home owners - no hotels in the little peninsula of Jose Ignacio - a real treat and well-kept secret - sort of a word of mouth thing it seems - we lucked out!
