Phil was a super host! He was very genuine and attentive to our needs. The house was cozy, and decorated tastefully, with a fun retro vibe. We walked to town and back every day for dinner and didn't have to worry about driving or finding a parking spot in town.

My friends and I loved staying at the NOOK. It is very charming. The home has all the essentials you will need for a home away from home stay. It is just a short walk away to parks, tours, shopping, wine tasting, restaurants, bars or anything else you want to do. When coming home after a busy day in Galena, you can wind down in the hot tub which is amazing, with a beverage of choice and then all gather in the cozy living room for a good movie. I recommend the Nook to anyone that’s needs a relaxing time away from home. I give the NOOK 5 stars

We loved the location. It was private but still surrounded by other houses. It was a very quick trip to town. We had everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable and the house was quiet. The host was there if we needed him!

We had an amazing stay. Owner checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. Went with to of my high school classmates. 45 years later still going strong. Close walk to town. Also went to goat yoga and had a great time. Thank you for the use of your home.

We loved our stay at the nook. It was extremely dog friendly and the fenced in yard was spacious and such fun for our dogs. We enjoyed using the hot tub and the close proximity to downtown for shopping and dinner out. Phil was extremely prompt with communication And flexible regarding early arrival and our pets.

We had an excellent stay! Phil was an excellent communicator and an excellent host! We absolutely loved the house. We felt right at home, it was clean and perfect for our needs. The big backyard was excellent for our sweet puppy. The hot tub was great for relaxation time. The beds were cozy and comfortable. The location was perfect and so close to the downtown. Great weekend stay

This property was great for a weekend Galena visit with friends! Close enough to downtown to walk, but far enough away to stay quiet at night. The hosts were communicative and helpful! Would stay here again.
