Hot Tub Time
Planning to enjoy the hot tub? Send us a message before your stay so we can have it warm and ready when you arrive.
When you’re done soaking, please put the cover back on and secure it. Southern Utah dust storms can roll in quickly, and nobody wants to soak in a tub full of sand. If it’s left uncovered and requires extra cleaning, the additional cleaning cost will be charged to the guest.
Keep it covered when it’s not in use, and you’re all set.

This was location ( neighborhood) to start with is very beautiful and quiet which was a great start. La Chona definitely has everything you need to create a home away from home !We would definitely stay again ! it checked all the boxes.
Cute, little casita for a short stay. Appreciate being able to park the car inside the fence and unload the car. Shower is a tight squeeze but beautiful, thoughtful place.
The property is very nice and clean. Accurate to the description. Has everything you could need and host is very helpful and very responsive to any questions we had. Overall would stay again

Thanks a bunch for the shout-out, Jennifer! Super glad the place hit the mark for your bike riding weekend – quiet neighborhood vibes and all. And hey, a comfy bed is a must, right? Can't wait to have you over again, hopefully soon!
We had such a wonderful stay! The house was spotless, well equipped with all the essentials, and had a very cozy vibe with cute decor that made it feel like home. We really appreciated the privacy and the convenience of having parking right on site. The location was great too—easy access to local groceries including Walmart Supercenter and restaurants, and the neighborhood was nice, quiet, and very safe. Gerardo was very responsive and made everything easy. We would definitely come back and recommend this place to friends and family!

Hey Magdalena,
Thanks a ton for the awesome review! We're so glad you loved the place and everything was to your liking. It was great having you, and we can't wait to host you again soon. Just give us a shout whenever you need another quiet escape!
Cheers,
Gerardo and Patty
It was exactly as described. For us pulling a utv trailer more suitable parking would help. Being older folks we would prefer bathroom and bedroom on same level for longer stays. For a single vehicle it would be great. Guest services were very accomidating. No list of things to do before checking out, told us we could just leave.

Thanks, Kirk. Glad La Chona was just what you expected and that check-out was easy. Appreciate the note on parking and layout—that’s helpful feedback. You’re always welcome back.
This unit is very clean & private. Parking and security were tops! The shower was small but no low flow fixture here. It was glorious. Unit is very well appointed. Coffee maker was great. Laundry room provided soap. The King bed was surprisingly comfortable. The location was ideal in between Hurricane and St George. I did some road riding right out the front door! The hosts who live on property, were friendly and very helpful.

Tim, appreciate you sharing this. Glad the place felt clean, private, and well set up, and that the location worked perfectly between Hurricane and St. George. Good to hear you got some riding in right from the door. Come back anytime.
We were down for a soccer tournament and this rental was perfect for our needs. The host was very helpful and very friendly. He helped make our stay the best it could be.
We found a nice surprise of the new park on a walk and really enjoyed being there on a Sunday evening. Overall, it was really nice! We wondered about the little casita feeling like we were staying with other people, but it felt very private and more like the neighbors. I would highly recommend!

Super stoked you enjoyed your stay and the rental hit the mark for you guys! It's awesome to hear that you got to check out the park and that everything felt private yet friendly – exactly the vibe we love to offer. Thanks a ton for recommending us, and we can't wait to have you back next time your travels bring you this way!
Take care,
Gerardo & Patty
This place was a separate apartment built right next to owners house. It was totally chill as they were extremely responsive, but respected my privacy. Clean apartment with everything i needed for a weekend stay. About the only gripe i had was that the bathroom was on the first floor while the bedroom was upstairs, but really not a deal breaker as i would stay there again in an instant.

Hey David, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, the architect was definitely into fitness—stairs are a great workout, right? But seriously, I'm glad it wasn't a dealbreaker and that you'd come back. We'll keep the light on for you—just a sprint away on the first floor!
Thanks, Joel! Glad you had a great stay. You’re welcome back anytime!
About the host
Hosted by Gerardo
Hey, I’m Gerardo. I’ve been living out here in Southern Utah for over 25 years, so this place is home in every sense. I’m a real estate agent and short-term rental host, but honestly I just enjoy helping people experience this area the right way. When I’m not working, I’m usually out golfing, hiking, or just hanging with family. I run a few rentals nearby, so I care a lot about the details and making sure everything feels easy and comfortable. My goal is simple—make sure your stay feels smooth, relaxed, and worth coming back to.
Why they chose this property
This area hits a solid balance. You’re close to everything—Sand Hollow, Zion, golf, trails—but still far enough out to actually relax when you get back. Hurricane has that laid-back feel, less crowded than some of the bigger tourist spots, but still right in the middle of all the action. You can be out riding UTVs, on the water, or hiking within minutes, then come back and just chill without the noise or chaos. That mix is hard to beat.
What makes this property unique
La Chona is set up to feel easy and dialed in from the moment you walk in. Clean, comfortable, and stocked with the basics so you’re not scrambling for the little things. It’s designed for people coming out here to actually enjoy Southern Utah—whether that’s riding at Sand Hollow, hitting Zion, or just kicking back after a long day outside.
What sets it apart is the experience around it too. I know the area well, so you’re not just getting a place to stay—you’re getting local insight on where to go, what’s worth it, and what to skip. I also offer a 4-seater UTV as an add-on for guests, which makes it easy to get straight into the adventure without having to figure everything out on your own.
