About this property
Stay Rural
Experience a bit of luxury in beautifully rural Central Montana, surrounded by open views of Square Butte and prairie grasslands. The perfect getaway resting-place for any group of hunters or those looking to watch the sunrise in the middle of the last best place! This walk-out basement features a concrete patio great for grilling and hanging out. A large main living area surrounding a gas fireplace to gather in all seasons, a home gym and three spacious bedrooms; as well as a large vanity and all tile walk in shower. There is a small desk and work area in the largest bedroom. This space naturally stays cool during the summer months. Hang out on the patio or meander over to a shady grove of trees in the back yard. This is real Montana living. While Geraldine is 'off the beaten path', it is truly in the middle of everywhere. Beautiful drives can take you to the Missouri River, historic towns and locations, hidden gems and multiple mountain ranges. From our home it is just 15 scenic miles to The Highwood Mountains. We also host private backroads tours highlighting some of our favorite views and natural wonders of the area (more info here: https://abnb.me/epBigQpLCsb or find us on instagram @stayrural )

A large, nicely decorated, modern space. We enjoyed the available coffee maker, electric griddle, and stand-alone electric burner for preparing breakfasts. The generous space and 3 bed rooms gave plenty of space to rest. The wifi made it possible to get work done easily. Geraldine has a small grocery store and bar and grill nearby that helped make our stay quite comfortable.
This basement rental is in great shape. It’s sized well for a large family. Missing a stove was made easier with the kitchen gear, but a tough swallow. Local grocery store and fuel stop made this a nice location.
The purpose of our stay was to visit with our son who is working for a traveling custom harvesting company. They were located in Geraldine, a town with no standard hotel accommodations. The nearest hotel I could find was 30 miles away in Fort Benton with more options 60 miles away in Great Falls. I was shocked to find there was a VRBO listing in this little town. This spot made our visit so much easier because he was staying just across town at a campground. We were able to meet up with him and follow the crew each day. The listing was fantastic. It was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. With no air conditioning, I feared it would be hot, but the basement location was cool even in 90 degree heat outside. It had way more rooms and beds than we needed, but we had our choice of what we wanted. The space looks to have been remodeled fairly recently. There is no stove/oven but we made do with the toaster oven. I would absolutely stay again and plan to recommend it to other family who may also be coming to visit.
Shaya and Corey are avid outdoor enthusiasts who have been hosting guests in their home since 2019. Both born and raised in Central Montana, they believe in sharing the opportunity to know and love Geraldine and the surrounding area.
Why they chose this property
Geraldine is located in the heart of the golden triangle, framed by farmland and surrounding views of several different mountain ranges. This really is 'big sky country' and most days you can count on distant views that reach hundreds of miles.
