Calling all nature lovers! Just 8 minutes from Bald Eagle State Park, a great place for hiking, boating, fishing, and to see wildlife. Situated 25 minutes from a 62 mile long bike trail, known as the Pine Creek Rail Trail. Go for a stroll on the Lock Haven river walk, 2.25 miles long, (lined with lights for night-time walking as well). Just a 45 minute drive to Penns Cave, which gives tours through the caverns by boat, also has a wildlife tour by bus. The beautiful victorian town of Bellefonte is 25 minutes away for shopping and dining out. Two ski lodges. Atv trails located at Sproul State Forest. State Game lands nearby for hunting. Elk County is located 1 hr 20 minutes away. Hiking trails take you fairly close to these majestic animals.

The place was clean, convenient and inexpensive. It is close to both Bald Eagle State Park, the state game lands and also Loch Haven. The owners were very accommodating and helped us out with our needs. I would definitely recommend this location if you want a nice place to stay near Beech Creek.

We wanted some place central to the area we were going to explore. Great location between Lock Haven and Bellefonte. We enjoyed Bald Eagle State Park. The kitchen was one of the best equipped as far as pots, pans, prep dishes.

Very nice house in a great location

I went on a 3-day fishing vacation with my brother and my stay at the house was delightful. The house is located just minutes away from beech creek and less than an hour away from 3 incredible trout rivers. The rental was perfect. Nice kitchen, cozy living room and very comfortable sleeping rooms. I would stay there again if it is available in the future.

Cozy Mountain Retreat

We enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Mountain Retreat! Nice accommodations for a late summer family boating and fishing getaway. Close to Bald Eagle State Park as well as local farm stands for fresh produce and baked goods. We enjoyed meeting and talking with the host family who were very friendly and ensured we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Thank you for your hospitality. Would recommend!
