About this property
Eastside Oasis - Near MLK Train Station, UT & Downtown
Enjoy a contemporary design with recessed lighting, vaulted wood ceilings, a modern kitchen, multiple sitting areas, sun room, and lots of windows and light. Many amenities await, including a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances, stone breakfast bar, 48 inch HD tv, washer/dryer with a completely fenced in front and backyard, deck and garden.
The layout allows for a 1 or 2 bedroom configuration with french doors that connect the 2 bedrooms. Closed, each bedroom is separate. Opened, the space is 1 large room with a queen and twin bed.
Sleeping arrangements include a queen size bed in the main bedroom, a twin bed in the 2nd bedroom and a sofa in the sunroom that folds down into a twin bed. All linens, towels, dishes and cookware are provided as well as coffee, soaps and bath products.
Come enjoy a unique and relaxing stay on the eastside!
Guests will have complete access to entire house and yard. Nothing is shared. Be aware that the 2nd bedroom (when the french doors are closed) does not provide complete privacy as the door and wall is pretty thin. if complete separation or privacy is required, this may not be the best fit for you.
The hosts are long-time residents of Austin and are available to offer tips, recommendations and general guidance if needed or can be completely invisible if you prefer.
Eastside Oasis is conveniently located in the heart of East Austin, close to the MLK train Station, downtown and UT campus, including UT's baseball, basketball and football stadiums. Very convenient to many great bars, restaurants, and live music venues on E. 6th St., Manor St., E. 11th St. and the Red River district. Some of the best BBQ joints in the state are almost within smelling distance, including, Franklin, La Barbecue, Mueller's, Mickelthwaite and Sam's.
Your own car is recommended while visiting Austin, as the public transportation system here has something to be desired. That being said, you are a couple of blocks from the MLK/Chicon bus stop and about a 1/2 mile from the MLK train station which runs to and from downtown (but not too late). There is ample safe and free street parking right outside the gate.
To catch the train, simply walk 2 blocks west on 14th St. to catch the walking trail that leads directly to the MLK Jr. train station. This trail is also bike friendly and leads directly to the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail.
It is a short drive to downtown or UT, less than 5 minutes, or about a $6 Uber ride.
Dogs are ok with a pet fee. Please inquire before booking with pets. No cats.
No events or parties are permitted.
