Perfect location for paddling Henderson, Boreas and Essex Chain. Outfitter and community are helpful and very friendly. Comfortable house, quiet and private neighborhood. We bring all our food since restaurants and grocery stores are farther away.

Great Adirondack Stay for a Large Group

We were very comfortable with 8 adults and 3 kids on the Spring St property. Thank you for the clear communication! We can a good time exploring the area and playing many games that were available at the house. One guest was a chef and he appreciated the well appointed kitchen.

Quiet and great location if you have dogs.

Nice and close to finally canoe Boreas Pond and visit Santanoni. We packed all meals because no restaurants or groceries nearby. House was nice and clean and had everything we needed on the first floor Screened porch is fantastic. Yard is great for hanging out and walking the dogs. Area is very quiet. Would definitely come back!

Great for families!

The home itself is so pretty, the pictures don’t quite capture it and there have been updates since those pics were taken. Impeccably clean, well-stocked kitchen, spacious comfortable rooms. Screened in porch perfect for morning coffee. One bedroom downstairs with a double bed - which was needed for grandma who struggles with getting upstairs. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated, not just a bunch of cast-offs for the vacation house. There are so many touches like scented oils in the rooms and the guest book and binder with all the visitor information you need. (For check in information all you need is the door code in advance.) A book shelf full of interesting books. Lovely back yard and fire pit. All the thoughtful details come together to give you the sense of being welcomed into the home of a friend. The surrounding area has lots to do. A ways behind the house there is a murky pond… lots of frogs for 11 year old boys to catch. (I wouldn’t want littles near it though.) There’s an ice cream shop/bakery in walking distance. Just 5 minutes away west on Rt 28 there’s an environmental interpretive center with trails to explore, the Santanoni historic site is even closer with more trails, and Newcomb Town beach just 5 minutes in the other direction with a swimming area including lifeguard, canoe launch, picnic area and playground. Just do some meal planning and there are no local grocery stores. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Spring St Loj. Our host Bridget was very communicative from two days before our arrival throughout the entire week. We appreciated some of the special touches such as a variety of games and books for both adults and children. We also appreciated being able to bring our dog with us for the week. Every night we enjoyed the screened porch, and we had a great time making s'mores by the fire pit with our grandchildren. The house is not far from the trail leading to the Santanoni Great Camp, as well as the Harris Lake Beach where we were able to introduce our grandchildren to paddling using a canoe provided by our hosts. We wish that all our Vrbo stays will be as nice as this one.

2/10 Terrible

Misleading listing and terrible host communication—do not book. I had a highly disappointing experience here and checked out after staying only 1 night out of the 3 days I originally booked. Misleading Location: The listing photos give the false impression that this property is directly on the beach, which it is absolutely not. Missing Essentials: Basic amenities like sheets and towels were completely unprovided. Poor Service: When I reached out to discuss these issues, the host was incredibly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Save yourself the headache and look for different accommodations. Also Expedia did nothing to help with this issue. I use Expedia a lot for booking but I will no longer be using their service.
