About this property

Summer Breeze Cottage is a beautifully appointed cottage home with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, located 1 mile from Holland State Park. We take extra precautions to ensure the sanitation and cleanliness of our cottage.

Decorated in cheery yellow, blue and white, our cottage has a huge back deck with grill, and is on a quiet street, in a quiet neighborhood, located in the Chippewa Resort area overlooking the north side of Lake Macatawa. Summer Breeze is located close to Holland State Park, Tunnel Park, The General Store, Dunz Dogs, Ottawa Beach Inn, Yacht Basin Marina/Boat Services, Anchorage Marina, Beachside Bike Rentals, Kayak and Jet Ski rentals. The bike trail is only 1 block away and covered hundreds of miles of biking trails.

We have 2 Queen size beds, and a bunk bed with a double down and a single up. There is a bathroom located on each level. The main level bathroom has an old fashioned, claw foot tub with shower and the lower level has a walk in shower.

Relax on the back deck, grill your favorite steaks while sipping a glass of wine and enjoy the peace and serenity of Summer Breeze.

Wedding weekend

Summer Breeze was perfect for our daughters wedding weekend ! Amy is readily available. Plenty of everything available. Close to the beach, walking distance to bar( l lolos and the breakfast joint ) Perfect back deck for late night drinks .

Great rental

This property was a great experience for our family. The house was really comfortable, very close to Holland State Beach, and has a great ambiance outside. The owners are great, really responsive and had great recommendations for food and things to do in the area all laid out in a binder for us. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect cottage stay

We loved staying at this sweet little beach cottage! Plenty of room for our family of five. Great deck for outdoor meals, and a great view of the lake. Our kids loved riding bikes to the beach, and around the neighborhood. House had everything we need and a perfect location! Would love to stay here again.

Perfect spot for a family vacation

My family stayed here over the July 4th holiday week. We had an absolutely wonderful time. It is a perfect location. Right down the street from Holland State Park and one of the best beaches in Michigan. Don’t mind the line to get in, it’s well worth it. My family did day trips to Saugatuck, South Haven, and Muskegon. All easy drives. The cottage itself had everything we needed and wasn’t crowded at all (four adults and three teenagers). Amy met us at the door and gave us a tour to show us where everything was and then gave us a great recommendation for dinner; LoLo’s down the street was fantastic. Highly recommend this location if you’re traveling to Holland. You’ll have a great time!

Why they chose this property

After living in Florida for 7 years on a boat and traveling in the Bahamas and the East Coast of the US, we knew that our hearts still belonged in West Michigan. We have vacationed here for the last 7 years and just knew that someday we would end up back in Holland for good. Maybe someday we will become 'snowbirds' but for now we live in Summer Breeze in the winter and will gladly share it with you in the summer. This has been a labor of love, decorating it in my summer time theme. Holland is a wonderful vacation area with both a quiet family feel and with the activities and amenities to keep you busy.

What makes this property unique

While living at Summer Breeze in the 'off season' we love to walk to Holland State Park, climb the 239 steps at Mount Pisgah, and watch the sail boat races on Lake Macatawa.
