If you are interested in a beautiful 200 year old farm this is the place for you. If you are interested in WiFi, this is not the place. The cabin is over 100 years old. (A tobacco barn relocated to our farm.)
There are two cabins, they are 100 ft. apart - So we offer plenty of privacy - Both cabins have a beautiful view of our 2 1/2 acre lake. We do ask our guest to let us know an approximate arrival time - there are two driveways. First, go past the large white farm house and the lake will be on the left hand side. Directly in front of you is an old red and white barn and drive behind the barn you will cross a bridge over the lake. At the end of the bridge turn left on to the covered bridge. Go slowly across the covered bridge we don't want anyone to hurt their car. Directly in front is the Grumpy Old Goat and Cheerful Chicken your name will be on the chalk board on the porch. The key will be in the front door.
Please do not leave the key in the cabin you can lock yourself out.

Needs some improvement on cleanliness. Need some improvement for written instructions for electronic usage, such as TV/Internet. Contacted host, but did not respond in a timely manner. Beautiful property. Willing to give it another try at a future date.
Teri's cabin was nothing short of perfect. Perfectly isolated and remote, perfectly decorated and themed, perfectly landscaped and accomodating, perfectly clean, temperature was amazing and it was like 95 outside but stayed 68 inside. This was a quick get away for my wife and I and we loved every moment of it. The pond with swans ducks and geese was awesome, the horses and donkeys and peacocks were cool and the awesome covered bridge and trimmed tree covered long drive leading up to the covered bridge was perfect. It welt like we were in the mountains and was hard to believe we were only 15mins from our house. Teri thank you again and we will 100% be coming to stay again soon.
This cabin was clean, orderly and perfect for 2 seniors in need of serious escape. We read, rocked and napped and enjoyed the wonderful jetted tub. The stairs might not be for everyone. Dorm size fridge was enough for us since we did not plan to cook meals there. There was a great fire pit in the yard but we enjoyed iced coffee on the porch instead. I would definitely stay there again.
Wow! The sweet, quaint cabin floored us. It was more than we expected, but we are grateful to have experienced something better.
We came expecting to have fun and left thinking we must come back for the whole weekend. There is not one complaint we can list.
Thanks to Hodgin Valley Farm for providing two old folks with a special 65th birthday celebration. In the voice of Arnold, "We'll be back!"

My husband loved it, me - it was ok. Lighting in the cabin not the best for those who don't see so well. No WiFi, which was confusing based on Amenities Listed. Could use better instructions TV, etc. Stairs also not mentioned in description. This would be helpful. It is a nice quiet spot, that much I liked.
Biggest Let down, so much more to say, but it won’t allow me to because I’ve reached my limit of wor
I was trying to plan a romantic getaway for my three year anniversary with my wife, and I tried to surprise her A cabin for the night. I reached out to the property manager and tried to check in a little bit earlier, but I never got a response back. So I took my wife out to dinner and the entire time we were at dinner I was calling Vrbo to get a hold of the homeowner because I didn’t get a password or key to the property. After going back-and-forth for about 30 minutes, they decided to call me back in another 30 minutes so by that time dinner was already served and we ate and we were leaving. I got in the car and I called customer service again, because they never called me back, and they told me that they couldn’t get a hold of the property manager that they tried several times. I never got an apology, all they offered was a refund and that I would receive my money back within 7 to 10 business days. At this point, obviously you could expect that I was very angry. This is supposed to be a really romantic night for my wife and I, and it got ruined. We were supposed to check in at 3pm. By now it’s about 7:30pm and still can’t get a hold of the property manager. We finally got a phone call back, around 8. A woman said that she left 2 voicemails, letting us know that she left the key in the door for us. We never received any type of phone call or a voicemail. When we got to the cabin, she wrote our names wrong on the chalkboard, and the cabin was really dirty.
