My family and I wanted to get away to the islands, and this property did not disappoint. The home is centrally located to many activities and beaches that we all enjoyed and explored during the day. At night we loved cooking dinners in the gourmet kitchen and the kids loved the hot tub. The house and grounds are decorated wonderfully. We will definitely be staying again!
Amazing property! Bird watchers - bring your binoculars!
This property truly is an architectural gem. Communication with the owner was always swift, and any problems were quickly resolved. There were only two negative aspects about the property - water pressure in the shower in the guest bedroom, and lengthy delays in getting hot water. I think both of these could be pretty easily resolved. The views are amazing. Deer and coyotes were readily visible. Birding was great - northern harrier, bald eagle, rufous hummingbirds, goldfinches and barn swallows abounded.
This house is amazing! Very different from every other place I've stayed. The interior is so eclectic. The design is Japanese, with many sliding doors. An amazing collection of books and albums, Asian and Native American art. The light switches can be a bit hard to find, but that adds to the adventure of discovering the house. The owner was great and easy to reach. One bummer was that the hot tub heater was inoperative, but the owner was very up front about that and even offered a discount. Location is also great, very close to the Coupeville ferry and to the town center.
