About this property

Wenzel's Woods - A perfect private vacation cabin get-a-way on almost 25 acres in the woods and on the Warroad river, two miles from Warroad, MN, Hockeytown, USA, on Lake of the Woods. Enjoy boating, fishing, beaches & swimming.

Lake of the Woods is the largest inland fresh water lake next to the Great Lakes. Marvin Windows Museum, The Shed, Riverbend Skate Path, Olympic arena, Annie's Trading Post, Lake of the Woods Brewery, shopping, restaurants, and numerous other businesses are nearby.

Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a Jacuzzi hot tub. Bunk room sleeps 7, master bedroom has a king and upstairs bedroom has a queen bed. There are also a single and a queen fold-out couch for extra guests.

My favorite is the artesian spring well drinking water, piped into the cold faucet of the laundry room. Bring jugs if you'd like to take artesian spring water home with you!

Numerous outdoor activities are available....swimming, paddle boating, kayaking, walking trails, skiing trails & skating on the river. The large backyard has plenty of room for croquet, badminton, and a place for a bonfire. Enjoy gorgeous sunsets, stargazing & sometimes the Northern Lights will dance in the sky!

I'm a born & raised "extreme" northern MN gal who enjoys making music. I've been into music my whole life, from directing musicals, playing in the pit band, teaching elementary music and private piano, voice & theory lessons. I'm new to hosting and have enjoyed the journey so far! Meeting our guests has been especially enjoyable.

Why they chose this property

Our home is very private and secluded on approximately 25 acres where there's room to roam with plenty of outdoor activities & wildlife, yet we're close to Warroad aka Hockeytown USA, on Lake of the Woods. There is summer & winter fishing, boating, and several resorts in the area. Shopping, restaurants, and coffee shops are a quick drive into town. Some of the sights to see in Warroad are The Shed with numerous classic cars, Marvin Windows, The Skate Path, Lake of the Woods Brewery, Marvin Museum, and the Warroad Library/Heritage Center. Opening soon is the newly constructed Riverbend Arts Center. If you drive south 7 miles on County Road 5, you will reach Beltrami Island State Forest. Drive 6 miles north of Warroad and you'll arrive at Canada.

What makes this property unique

We are on the Warroad River, where we can swim, paddleboat and skate or ski on the river. There is a place to play basketball, walking & skiing trails, and a huge back and side yard. Badminton or croquet is also fun, as well as a place to have a bonfire to roast hot dogs and marshmallows.
