Located on Beech Mountain, Big Bear Escape is less than five minutes from Beech Mountain Ski Resort, providing easy access to various winter activities including skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating. In the summer, the mountain transforms into trails for mountain biking, hiking, disc golf, and scenic chairlift rides to the top of the mountain. Buckeye Recreation Center is ten minutes away, and offers tennis and basketball courts, a playground, and a lake for fishing and paddle boating. Banner Elk, a quaint mountain town, is about a fifteen minute drive and offers access to local shopping and dining, Banner Elk Winery, and Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster. Sugar Mountain offers Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, public tennis courts, and Sugar Mountain Public Golf Course, and is about twenty minutes away.

Big Bear Escape is a warm and inviting cabin with a large wrap-around covered deck. Beautiful tongue and groove walls are carried throughout both levels of the home. The main level features a cozy living room with a rock gas fireplace and smart TV. The adjacent dining table can seat six guests, and offers direct access to the kitchen. Guests will find stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and everything you need to whip up a home-cooked meal. Outside, the covered deck houses a hot tub for guests to relax in after a day of hiking or skiing. Log-style rocking chairs are awaiting your morning coffee and book while you warm up by the gas fire table. Grill steaks and fresh vegetables on the gas grill. The front yard is home to a custom-built wood-burning fire pit with Adirondack chairs and is sure to become a favorite gathering place for the whole family.

The master bedroom, located on the top floor, has a queen bed, TV, and attached ensuite. A second bedroom on the top floor has a queen bed, TV, and access to the full hallway bathroom. On the main level, the bunk room sleeps six guests in two sets of twin-over-full bunk beds. The attached bathroom has double vanities and a combo tub and shower. A private balcony is accessed from this bedroom. The bunk room also has a TV and a Peloton bike for guests to use with their own Peloton accounts.

Big Bear Escape provides WiFi, a washer and dryer, and a main floor powder room. Up to two dogs are welcome with an additional pet fee. Please be advised that there are exterior security cameras in place. The gravel driveway leads to parking for three vehicles. Access to the front door is up 3 steps. 4WD or AWD is recommended for winter travelers.
