Perfect for a executive work place and/or weekend getaway. We are also an excellent central coast location for visiting the local wine country. Plus, we are not far from the Vandenberg AFB. And if you are looking for clean... then our home is just that! ;-)) Also, our home is done in tasteful Rustic finishes including pine antique furnishings, Knotty Alder cabinetry & doors, matching granite counter-tops throughout, floors are Tumbled Travertine in a Versailles pattern. The home is very neat, tidy, uncluttered and clean for a peaceful vacation, getaway or executive retreat. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room with fireplace and another room just off the kitchen combines to be used as laundry, den and office. The back yard is private and spacious with a copper fire pit, wrought iron chairs, BBQ and a table for four with an extra two chairs & umbrella if you so choose... and can be on an environmentally friendly & permeable decomposed granite surface... kind of like a Parisian park! Our home is on a cul-de-sac street for added comfort and privacy... A Family neighborhood. Though with quick access to so much... including the many local wineries, Village Country Club and the Vandenberg Air Force Base. We are also close to the Lompoc Valley Medical Center, the Valley's wineries and of course we are a perfect location for short trips to the beautiful Central Coast Beaches... Our guests include many military families, foreign embassy visitors, contractors, executives from large corporations (mostly a month or longer stay) and then sometimes families looking for a more brief golfing or wine getaway or a relative visit....

Lompoc home

The home is newly remodeled and very beautiful. It is a very comfortable home with a fully stocked kitchen and lovely backyard and backyard furniture. The location is quiet and quite central to everything you need. We loved our stay and may return as we have family in the area.

Charlie is a great host and he has prepared the house to anticipate your every need! We were a group of 5, in town for family events, and this was the perfect respite from the stress of all being together all the time. The house has a very serene feeling and all the finishes are very high quality. There are helpful notes throughout the house to help you feel right at home instantly. The neighborhood is very quiet and the beds very comfortable so we were able to sleep great the whole time. The house was very, very, very clean and we appreciated the extra effort put into making it feel so welcoming. We will certainly stay again next time we are in Lompoc. Thanks again.

Jolie Maison (beautiful House)

I just can't brag enough about this wonderful home. Immaculate grounds, well stocked with amenities for the kitchen and the living quarters. Excellent neighborhood and neighbors, quiet, and safe. Owner is very attentive, but not intrusive. Excellent cleaning staff, available at a moments notice. The only negative was that we couldn't stay longer. Bravo Charlie!!! I hope to be back again and again.

Bravo, Magnifique!! What a Charming, warm and secure demeure. I have thoroughly enjoyed my long term stay in my little cul-de-sac of the world!! Charlie's attention to detail is unmatched. A fully stocked kitchen, first-rate laundry facility, immaculate bathrooms stocked with plush, cotton towels , the soft and inviting bed linens matched only by the equally outstanding beds and soft pillows which await me every evening. Also, let me not forget to mention the delicious array of decorative pieces that adorn each bedroom. The cleaning crew is top-notch. I have experienced quiet respite in the secluded, secure and well-maintained backyard area. I couldn't be happier with my arrangements (unless I was on the French Riviera, haha). The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and I found that I am indeed centrally-located to beaches supermarkets gas stations and restaurants!! I applaud Charlie and look forward to spending more time at the Charming Chateau of Lompoc!!!

Lovely stay in Lompoc!

We had a great time!

Very clean and comfortable! Great location! We had a magical time here around the Christmas holidays visiting family and enjoying the area. We toured 3 wineries - so much fun!!, spent time in the charming town of Los Olivos, hiked around La Purisima mission, took a walk along Surf Beach, and ate wonderful tri-tip sandwiches at the Central Coast Deli. And we had a fully equipped kitchen here to cook wonderful food for my very elderly mother-in-law who lives nearby. Yes, I was very happy here! Our bed was very comfortable with nice bedding. The bathroom mat was fluffy, towels too. There was a big dining room table that the four of us enjoyed sitting around, and a nice bench inside the front door where we could take our shoes off. The owner was friendly and helpful. Our five days there was perfect!

AWESOME HOME IN GREAT LOCATION

Owner has put a lot of thought and time to care for guest. Has plastic coated information cards throughout the house. House is well maintain. Never experienced Hawaiian style living (no shoes in home that are worn outside). This was great!!! Plan to make this an annual event because of the home and the owners graciousness and demeanor. Being a single level made it easy for family members with movement disabilities.

Lovely just Lovely ....

So this was my first time using Home Away and I must say Charlie was so nice from the very beginning, contacting me almost immediately and then holding my hand through the entire booking process. Then the day of my arrival he met me at the house spending plenty time with me showing me the ins and outs of the house and giving me tips on where to go and what to do. You can tell by his kind demeanor he is a total people person! I was only there for a short time and he checked in on me, to make sure things were OK. He has a very high attention to detail that shows through in his care for his home, it’s absolutely beautiful! There is nothing about the house that is second rate – it’s how HE would want it, if he were living there. I was amazed at the quality of the furniture and decorations. Honestly I just don’t know what else to say, Charlie was an amazing host, and his home was beyond what I could ever have expected. Thank You!!!

Excellent Vacation Rental

Charlie's place is like new, plenty of room, and convenient to anywhere in the area. Walking distance to Beatie Park and town also very quiet. Charlie and Aaron were pleasant to deal with and provided all we needed for an excellent stay. Couldn't ask for a better place in Lompoc.

Owner is a native to Southern California and having grown up on the beach he truly appreciates all the Central Coast has to offer... Charlie travels the world extensively producing events aboard cruise ships (and even some land based events) for his own company and thus has an appreciation for many different cultures and styles. And from those travels he comes back with ideas for building & remodeling his homes. ...fun photo is of his father and the ST model he built back in the 60's... the model is hanging in the entrance of Air & Space museum at the Smithsonian.

Why they chose this property

Quiet small town peacefulness with many opportunities & activities to explore ... of course the Central Coast with access to the beautiful beaches, hot springs and wine country/hills. A great central location as it is an easy drive (if not just beautiful) to Solvang, Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo/Avilla beach. And the Vandenberg Air Force Base is nearby... come see a rocket launch!! ;-))

What makes this property unique

Our home is perfect for the corporate client who desires something cleaner & nicer than anything else is the vicinity. Especially since we have another room that can operate as an office -- with a 4 in 1 printer is also at hand. In fact most of our guests have been longer term stays by visiting contractors & corporate or project managers... our favorite compliment is having them come back and or asking that if we place it on the market "to let them know" and/or they come back for décor ideas! ;-)) Month or longer stays include cleaning service twice a month 3 to 4 hours each time.
