Peggy's place was great for our long weekend in the Pagosa area, she was very responsive and kind. Her cavin was comfortable and bigger than I expected, we'll be staying here again.
Very peaceful, clean, quiet apartment. The apartment is very user friendly with large rooms and the property is very serene. Would definately stay here again!
Very nice, very quiet. Love the location -- a few miles out, trees & wildlife. Owner is on property, helpful but not intrusive. Kitchen is sparse, but adequate. Comfortable bed, good internet & TV.

Great place to stay
A group of us stayed at Peggy's during the last week of bow season. Her location was very convienent to all the hunting locations and down town Pagosa Springs. Her hospitality was great and if we had any questions she was easy to contact. The house was very comfortable and suitable to our needs. We will stay thee again upon our return to Pagosa Springs.
Peggy was a great host and easy to work with. The rental is very spacious and comfortable. Country living just minutes from town. Enjoyed drinking morning coffee and watching birds at the feeder.
My son, dog and I had a magical time building memories and snowmen at Peggy's cabin. We feel so lucky that she shared her beautiful property with us. She made sure we had everything we needed for a safe, comfortable, relaxing and happy adventure. It was the best holiday ever. Thank you so much

Quiet getaway near Pagosa Springs & Wolf Creek Ski Area
We LOVED our stay at Peggy's property near Pagosa Springs. 1 bed, 1 bath, but both living space and bedroom were significantly larger than we expected. Dog friendly (fenced dog run), and we either brought our black lab with us when leaving for daytrips, OR found nearby sitter using Rover service. Peggy was friendly and accommodating. Despite being a duplex there was plenty of privacy. Highly recommended!

Thank you Brian! Glad you enjoyed your visit. I hope you will come back again! Peggy
Peggy is a great hostess and her place offers all the fresh mountain air and the serene setting that you want in the mountains. Lots of trees, quiet nights, horse views, and deer sightings. If you have a pet, this is the perfect set-up. We were there for two months and all of our needs were met with the bbq grill, the kitchen and the large bath with the newly tiled walk-in shower. We’ll miss Peggy’s place and her dog Pete and her excellent location.
This duplex is in a great location. Nice view onto a large property and a quiet road to walk the dog. (There also is a great fenced dog run in the back.) We enjoyed watching the birds at the feeder. Drive to Pagosa Springs is short.
The house is bigger than it looks like on the picture and the owner who lives next door is very nice. Only minus is the kitchen - it's very small with two small electric plates sitting on top of the counter. It works to heat up simple things, but don't plan on cooking elaborate meals.
This home has everything! Stocked cabinets, comfortable furniture, and million dollar views. I booked it as a much needed getaway for myself and to visit childhood friends. The pictures truly don't do it justice. Everything you want from dining, shopping or nightlife is just minutes away but the home feels like your own private tropical island. Richard was very friendly, informative and just a text away if I needed anything. Checking in was a breeze. The only complaint I had was that I had to leave; however, I've solved that by making this my own personal getaway again and I can't wait to be back there soon.
I had a lovely month-long stay at this property. It is very peaceful and located on a quiet country road with pretty mountain vistas, but still an easy 10 minute drive into Pagosa Springs for any amenities. There's an abundance of hiking opportunities within 20-45 minute drive in the surrounding national forests, and the South San Juan Wilderness and Weminuche Wilderness have some great, uncrowded trails. The owner lives next door and is friendly and respectful of privacy. The space itself is a spacious one-bedroom in-law type unit - it had fast wi-fi for working from home and all the basics needed for a month-long stay, and the owner was very responsive to a few minor maintenance items that came up. It was also dog-friendly (even had a little fenced area in the back), which is always appreciated!
My wife and I stayed here with our two dogs for a week in September 2024.
The size of the duplex and amenities were perfect for our needs. We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen that included a regular-size refrigerator and stainless steel pots and pans. There was also a propane grill outside that we were able to use.
Our dogs had access to a large, fenced backyard area, and we also played with them in the front and side yards which comprised some of the 10-acre property.
The location was a convenient 8-minute drive from downtown Pagosa Springs that included many beautiful views of the nearby ranches and surrounding mountains.
Lastly, the owner, Peggy, was a real pleasure to interact with and very helpful during our stay. It was great to get some of her local knowledge of the area, and as a pet lover, she was very kind and understanding about our two dogs. She even gave us some freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies before we left!
We had a wonderful stay and would be happy to return in the future.

Peggy and Petey...are awesome! Thanks for making our vacation extra special. Your place was ideal for us and our 2 lab siblings, Eli and Bisbee. Highlights for us were too many to count, but to name a few...large, comfy, quiet living space on 10 acres (with horses next door!), a huge private dog run, prime location close to town and all the outdoor activities we were looking for, plus a very sweet host and her boy, Petey (her corgy that our dogs loved playing with). Thanks again...looking forward to our next visit!
Peggy was very nice and responsive. She even swept the heavy snow off of our car.
Hot water in the kitchen was very slow. Kitchen has stovetop and microwave. No oven.
The large fenced in dog run is what attracted us to this listing. The small kitchenette worked for the 2 of us but a stove with an oven would have been nice. Very comfortable mattress and a nice tile shower. Serene and cozy. The owner is very accommodating.
The property was accurately described, and included everything we needed. The home was so much nicer than what we expected from the photos—it was cozy, warm and inviting, with a cabin feel. The outdoor setting was idyllic—horses grazing on the neighboring property, beautiful pines surrounding the home, 10 acres of walkable property, a huge dog run….and the list goes on. Pagosa Springs amenities, restaurants, and activities are just a short drive away. This was the peaceful, quiet, restful experience we were looking for. Many thanks to Peggy, the owner, for allowing us to enjoy her beautiful home!
Peggy was great, very helpful and knowledgeable on area. Her home is perfectly located- out in the country, away from everything but easy to get wherever you want to go! We enjoyed 2 steam train rides, Pagosa Springs and so much more. Loved watching and feeding Her neighbors' horses! Definitely recommend staying here.
We just loved our stay! The place was bigger than we imagined and the location was perfect with great access to wolf creek ski lodge and downtown pagosa.
The owner Peggy and her corgi Pete were the perfect hosts. Can’t wait to go back.

About the host
Hosted by Peggy Andrews, Independent Real Estate Broker
I have lived and worked in Pagosa Springs as a realtor since 2002. I grew up in Ohio, relocated to New Mexico after college, and then moved up to the cool pines of Pagosa Springs. I love the climate (yes, even the snow!) and the small-town friendly atmosphere.
Why they chose this property
I purchased this log home on 10 acres because I wanted some space and needed some room for my dogs. It is a great place with easy access from Highway 84, and just a quick 5 minute drive into downtown Pagosa Springs. My 2800 square foot home has a 1000 square foot 'annex' which is my rental property. It has a separate entrance, is totally private, and very quiet.
What makes this property unique
I love to watch the horses grazing in the pasture next door in the evening. Many deer also traverse the property, plus numerous birds are attracted to my feeders year-round.
