Luxurious comfort & spectacular views of the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico await you in this nonsmoking penthouse located at San Carlos in the heart of Gulf Shores AL. With its spacious open floor plan and professional interior design once you step inside you may never want to leave. This 20th floor 1965 sq ft penthouse boasts floor to ceiling windows & a balcony large enough to enjoy dining or the sunset. While here be sure to enjoy the fabulous primary suite with balcony access & spacious Jacuzzi tub with separate shower. The fully-equipped kitchen & large dining area are perfect for entertaining all your family and friends. San Carlos offers superior amenities and is within walking distance to area attractions. Penthouse 5 will create memories to last a lifetime. Monthly rentals available January to March 1. No boats RV's or trailers are permitted

Parking passes and wrist bands must be purchased on site. The office is located on the 3rd Floor.

Free Public WiFi in all condos public areas and even as far as the beach! You must be 25 years of age or older to reserve this unit.

The San Carlos HOA has notified us that they will begin making repairs to balcony ceilings between the dates of March 24 through early April. All work can be completed without entering the individual unit balconies, however, swing stages will be in use on the property and as a result, the outdoor pool will be closed during this time period.

During the spring break season, between the dates of March 1 through April 30 of each year, the person booking the reservation must be 25 years of age or older and must be present to physically check in at our office with your government issued ID present.

Spacious, well appointed and exactly as advertised! Ideal location. At Christmas we got lucky and the weather was great for miles of beach walking. We were just two siblings so we had an empty bedroom and a third bathroom that was hardly even necessary, but nice to have. Elevators were super fast, parking readily available and accessible, handy carts to move in/out. TVs worked great when the fog socked us in, otherwise the only thing needed to look at is the views! Great unit. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay!

Overall we were satisfied with our stay. The unit could use a good deep cleaning (dust on curtains in master, jets in tub, shower tracks). Kitchen was well equipped. We did get locked out of our unit before the checkout time on our departure date. We had to call the rental company and get a new code so that we could get back in to load our belongings. Parking is difficult if you have a large vehicle and there is a very limited amount of handicap parking spots.

Luxurious and Intentional Relaxation

Great experience at this phenomenal location. A few small maintenance issues were not bothersome (some minor cleanliness issues and prior damage like scratches on furniture, etc)). Wish we hadn’t brought our beach chairs and umbrella and instead would have paid $40 for the convenience of renting there. Shampoo, soap, few samples of laundry detergent, coffee, etc made things easy. The unobstructed view was what I wanted. Balcony was perfect. Pool was zero-entry, great for toddlers. We were lucky to get a discount on the price due to booking last minute (night before). Really magical. The fees were significant on top of the nightly rate. We loved it and will likely return. Transportation is unbelievably tricky there as Uber and Lyft are rare. Beach Express Gulf Shores Taxi Service was a relief (251) 979-1561

Great clean location

We really liked this property. It was close to restaurants, so you could walk. Walk right out to the beach. Condo was very clean. As with any place you stay, more towels would have been nice, but was happy for the washing machine to wash them. No beach items were supplied, which wasn't a big deal for us as one family member drove and brought chairs/umbrellas, beach towels. If you fly like some of us did, that is harder to do. Overall, a great condo for a families. There were two families that stayed and it worked out well. Would stay there again.

The San Carlos It’s a great condominium in a great location and has all the amenities. Would highly recommend. Walking distance to many activities and great restaurants. Great for families or couples. Also very clean.

July family trip

We had a great time. It's right off the beach, we never had to wait long for an elevator, and the unit (Penthouse 5) comfortably slept eight of us (four adults, four children). Only knock we had was the dryer is on it's last legs (we'd have to dry each load at least twice) and the A/C is a little tricky to regulate at night. The master bed/bath becomes an icebox as you try to cool the other two bedrooms in the front of the unit. Other than those two small issues, the room was great.

San Carlos Penthouse 5

The condo is just as described. The view is amazing. We had plenty of room and enjoyed the large balcony. Everything was within a mile or two so that made eating out easy. The only negative thing we found was the mattresses need to be replaced as well as the dining room chairs. I hope before our next trip these will have been replaced. Overall this condo was perfect for our group.

Beautiful corner condo! We thought staying so high might be an issue with getting elevators but we never waited more than 3 minutes. The condo had everything we needed. Tons of cups, plates, wine, martini glasses, crockpot etc. It was also great to have two king size beds since we were with another couple. We will definitely stay here again!!

The Penthouse was amazing, Beach was spectacular. I would have like a bit more information on the check in. It would have been nice to know there are carts to help haul all your stuff up. And the we needed to fill out the parking pass.

Great view! Great space! However the 2nd guest bed was not made, the frig door handle was broke" in half" and eventually fell off. In which we reported to the Sun Coast office minutes after arriving. They took my number and said someone would be in touch. Never did. It was not a big issue and the overall stay was great. But considering We haven't had a vacation in 5 years a tent on the beach would have been bliss. Lords Will, we will use them again and even the same unit. I think we just caught them at the end of the season and before seasonal repairs are made. In closing,it was awesome and after school starts back is the only time to go. Nothing on the beach but " mature folk" and a few home schooled along with locals. Mature is for ,,, old hairy people like myself in which I give that a single star for things to see. Oh , and the beds slept wonderfully for those have bad backs like myself.
