The cottage has its own private yard with fire pit/wood, and beach entry to the lake. The cottage is cozy but the property is just amazing! Relax in the hammock while listening to the sounds of nature, especially our nearby Loons. Bring your fishing gear!

The property features flower gardens, blueberry bushes, 3 private swimming coves, kayaks, 14' rowboat with an electric trolling motor, pedal boat, a dock, a float, and hidden nature trails along the property for exploring!

This gorgeous piece of property called "Stonecroft" named for it's rocky gardens. Stonecroft is truly an amazing and rare piece of real estate. Stonecroft consists of over an acre of land and 588 feet of water frontage! The property feels remote but is very close to all needed amenities. Wilson Lake is located west of Wilton village. Its main inlet and outlet, Wilson Stream, enters the northwest side of the lake and exits the eastern tip meandering east into the Sandy River. Water quality in Wilson Lake is suitable for cold-water game fish. Salmonid spawning and nursery habitat is available in the inlet. A small native salmon population utilizes this habitat to provide a limited number of wild fish, which are supplemented with periodic stockings to maintain a fishery. Lake trout naturally reproduce using the rocky shoals to spawn and maintain a productive fishery. Salmonid growth is good despite competition from warm water fish species. The lake is occasionally stocked with brook trout to supplement a small native population. Wilson lake is accessible via a public launch site located just south of downtown Wilton. The lake is open to fishing under general law in both the summer and the winter season. Fishes: Landlocked salmon, Minnows, Lake Trout (togue) Golden shiner, Brook trout Fallfish (chub), Rainbow smelt, White sucker, Smallmouth bass, Hornpout (bullhead), White perch, Redbreast sunfish, Yellow perch, Pumpkinseed sunfish, Chain Pickerel, American eel, Landlocked alewife. My husband, myself, our children, grandchildren and extended family all enjoy spending time together at Stonecroft. Our property has a unique way of bringing us all together whether near or far. It is our pleasure to share this property with you and your family.

Why they chose this property

As a former Bed & Breakfast, from about the 1940's-1970's, Stonecroft was well regarded by everyone who stayed here. For years before purchasing Stonecroft my family would kayak by the property and remark about its beauty and unique qualities. It was only a dream then, but now we are the fortunate owners of this remarkable piece of paradise and we feel grateful to extend a warm welcome to others so that they can come and enjoy Stonecroft just as much as we all have.

What makes this property unique

Stonecroft is a nice private property yet it is with in walking distance to Main Street. Wilton is a very quaint and friendly town which features a library, post office, grocery store, and other small local businesses. Farmington is less than 10 miles away and has a two larger grocery stores Hannaford and Walmart. It also has a nice small downtown with shopping, restaurants, movie theatre, and walking trails. Our beautiful Franklin county has many wonderful hiking trails. Please visit www.mainetrailfinder.com We recommend: Bald Mt., Tumbledown, and Mt. Blue State Park, Center Hill Nature trail is our favorite short scenic trail.
