Was a wonderful weekend. Thomas was an excellent host and responded to my message promptly. The home was well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Would like to have relaxed more but was in town for wedding. Would book again if in the area.

Our family was ther celebrating a birthday. We had seven people there and had a very good time. The weather was really nice and we spent a lot of time in the house and in the owners center using the game room and the pool. Galena is great in the fall!

We were a group of 6 ladies and we really enjoyed our stay! The house is full of thoughtful touches to make you feel welcome and make your stay comfortable. Our host, Tom was very communicative and helpful. We really appreciated that. I highly recommend this property if you are coming to the Galena Territory.

My friends and I loved the peaceful and idyllic location. All those porches!!!! Our favorite aspect was the extensive bird life. Thomas was an excellent host, quick to respond to questions and flexible with check in and check out.Thank you.

The stay was a beautiful home nestled in the Galena Territory, it was a lovely property with lots of room in the yard and a beautiful wraparound deck on the second floor. The lower level was nice and spacious, so was the upstairs living room and kitchen area. The house was clean and well-kept.

This is the second time that we have stayed in this house and we love it. We really enjoy sitting on the upper deck and watching all of the different types of birds. The house is plenty big enough for all of our needs. This is our future house of choice whenever we come to Galena and it is available.

This home needs a DEEP cleaning. Windows ,spider webs, carpets all need to be cleaned. We couldn’t use the grill it was so nasty. Outdoor patio furniture was falling apart. We love all that Galena territory has to offer. But would not recommend this home to stay at. We give it a 6 overall rating.

It’s impossible to do a deep cleaning when you only have a few hours in between guests in the Summer. Deep cleanings are done on a regular basis when there are longer periods in between rentals. At no time did this guest personally complain to me about anything during their stay. I mentioned that I am 15 min away and can take care of any issues. I could have swapped out the grill or the outdoor furniture during their stay. If you look at prior reviews you can see the place is very clean so and at least 5 hours was spent cleaning the house prior to their arrival. I believe this review is very unfair.

The property is very nice. The house was large and comfortable with plenty of outdoor space. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner by the fireplace. There was even a popcorn machine which we all loved. The owner was very accommodating and quick to respond. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful getaway this is the perfect spot! We will be back when the weather warms up to enjoy the beautiful yard!

A homey feeling

The place is very comfortable and restful. Outside of a few day-treks we spent our early morning hours watching the birds, squirrels, and a rabbit. I would recommend it for couples, an individual who wants peace and quiet, and families with young kids. A great stay!

Relaxing getaway

The land surrounding the property was so beautiful and secluded. I have an Australian shepherd who enjoyed the yard. The lilacs were in bloom when we were there and it smelled amazing! The house had everything we needed for our relaxing getaway, comfy beds, board games and a fire pit. Thank you so much!

Family Wedding Weekend

Very nice accomodations. much to offer for keeping us entertained, and would be perfect for a family with younger children. We were there for only two days. Did not have time to eally enjoy the Home or all it had to offer. Would definitely rent again!

This house was great! Had all the essentials we needed. There was even a giant popcorn maker that my kiddos were excited to use. Great added bonus! There is a steep set of stairs leading to the main floor from the entry. Just an heads up for anyone that may have issues with stairs. Owner was very responsive & quick to reply to any messages sent. Highly recommended staying here.
