About this property

Dauphin Island Beach Club 304 Beautiful Views in a Well-Appointed Condo!!

Enjoy the great views from the balcony of this 3rd floor Gulf front unit, or take the short walk to the white sandy beach.
This condo has a split floor plan with sleeping accommodations for 10. Each bedroom has a full bath and there is a private covered balcony with plenty of furniture overlooking the two swimming pools and the Gulf. Wake up to the sun rise over the gulf from the master. Relax in the master bath Garden tub or use the walk-in shower after being at the beach.
Sleeping accommodations are: a King in the master, a Queen in the second bedroom, a Twin over Queen bunk bed with a Twin trundle in the third bedroom, and a Queen sleeper sofa in the great room. All linens, blankets, towels etc. are provided.
Amenities included are a full size washer and dryer, granite counter tops in a fully equipped kitchen, including lots of small appliances. You can use one of the charcoal grills available on the grounds. If you prefer not to cook, there are local restaurants and a bakery on the island, several are within walking distance.
Also If there is a day when you choose not to go to the beach or in the late evening there are DVD players, stereo, cable TV in the living room and master, or use the high-speed Wi-Fi for other entertainment.

Stayed the last week of July with a group of 8. The condo had everything we needed and the location is perfect, however this was our first time staying in a condo instead of a house, so the walk was a little more intense than what we're use to.

Everything was great. Only thing was a miss was under the understand that 1 of the rooms had 2 double beds and only had 1 queen bed. But beds were soft. I habe stayed here in different units 3 times now and will continue to stay at the beach club.

We felt safe. Property was convenient and easy to locate. Overall a great experience. You may want to evaluate your cleaning staff as we found a pile of sand under the dining table and pieces of dried food along the baseboards in a bedroom. The teens remarked 'at least it was cleaner than the condo at Myrtle Beach last year'.

The heated pool was wonderful for end of day swims or cloudy days. The island was the perfect size to explore, enjoy local food, go to the aquarium & fort, see the goat trees. Highly recommend the fish market if making home meals - the red snapper was delicious. Would definitely come back again!

Great time but things could be improved

My family and I really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again! Great location, family friendly, and felt very private. However, the sofa bed was filthy and I had to let the front desk know. It looked like there was blood on the sheets, which is a little scary but hopefully everything else was clean. It was already towards the end of our stay when we realized. The freezer had trouble closing and sometimes the patio door would get stuck along with the handle almost falling off. With a few touch ups it would be absolutely perfect. The positives outweigh the negatives and we’d love to come back!

Needs a very deep clean!

The property is nice! The rooms are spacious for the price and the view is beautiful! I'm super sensitive to mold and the master bath shower is full of it. The bathroom had pee around the toliet, baseboards are filthy. The blankets in the closet weren't clean. The kids room had wrappers of fruit snacks shoved everywhere. The sliding glass door would stick and take awhile to get back on track . The refrigerator works if you have nothing in it! I had to toss my yogurt and cheese I packed from home because it wouldn't cool within the first 15 hours. (We had a few drinks in there and maybe five items) we didn't overload the fridge! This place has potential if someone gave it a very long, deep cleaning.

Overall a nice place to stay. We went with our two adult sons and their spouses. Beds were on the firm side and the queen bed frame has wheels that did not appear to lock so it would move some when turning over while sleeping. Seating on the living area accommodates 5 people and there is a nice chaise lounger in the master bedroom. The elevator was very quick and the beach and pool areas were not crowded at all. There were times that our family were the only ones in one of the two pools. There was virtually no traffic when we were out and about on the island. Kitchen is nice and equipped with pots, pans, utensils, a regular coffee pot, toaster, blender, and other small appliances in a cabinet on the back side of the island that you will miss if you do not pay attention to the signage. Things were labeled in the kitchen making it easy to locate. The refrigerator has a bottom freezer with an ice maker and the small spigot on the sink is filtered water. There were two rugs (one at the sliding doors in the living area and one I’d the master bath) that moved easily and create a fall risk. We put these away during our stay. The light switch to the balcony light is on the master bedroom near the sliding door. As with other properties on the island, it is a long walk to get to the beach so we used a wagon and took a cooler with drinks and snacks.

First time at Dauphin Island

At check-in, we did not realize there were different properties within the same office where we picked up keys. We unloaded and ended up trying to get into someone else's condo. They told us where we needed to go. We had to load back up and go in another gate to the set of condos next door. Condo seemed dated. It was very dusty. A lot of the towels for bathrooms and kitchen looked very "used" and some had stains. Crumbs in the silverware drawer. The doors to the balcony from the living room did not lock and was hard to get them to seal because both sides would move when trying to close them. VCR did not work in the bunk bed room. Pool was very nice. Good view
