The Carriage House at Crisler Manor is a studio apartment complete with king size bed, kitchenette and bath with walk in shower. Enjoy the spa hot tub and grand porch as well. Conveniently located 2 miles from downtown, 1.5 miles to The Pearl and 8 minutes to the airport, you are in the Heart of Monte Vista, a National Historic neighborhood, fabulous for evening walks to nearby restaurants.

The Perfect Quiet Weekend

This property was so much more than I expected. Driving here and seeing the properties alone was impressive. Shirley was an incredible host, she was great with communication and I had complete privacy. There was a decent pizza place not too far. Overall, I would definitely stay again.

Super cute studio apartment nestled in a wonderful historic neighborhood. The neighborhood felt very safe and we enjoyed walking to Vegan on Main for a wonderful dinner. There is a wall A/C unit that kept the room nice and cool and the king size bed was very comfortable. We didnt really use the kitchenette but it's available with dishes and cookware. We did really appreciate that there was the ability to make coffee in the morning. The apartment is above a garage so there is a set of steep stairs to get up to the apartment but that was not a problem for us. We enjoyed sitting outside in the chairs around the fire circle in the morning to enjoy our coffee. We'll happily stay here again on our next trip to visit our daughter in school here.

Cozy Getaway

After a long week at a conference, it was nice to relax in this cozy, charming garage apartment. The historic neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. Perfect for long walks. The location is very convenient as well! We found a yummy Greek restaurant, as well as a delicious Italian restaurant nearby. The only drawback to our stay was the hot tub. Unfortunately it was not ready for us to use. The owners were very responsive and offered a $25 refund for the inconvenience.

Great stay for quick trip

The carriage house was just what we need for our visit. The bed was comfortable, internet worked great and easy parking. Shirley recommended some local restaurants and we had a chance to check out La Fonda. This is a local gem! We even headed back for dessert in another night. So great to have a restaurant so close and so delicious nearby. This place was the perfect location for us, close to downtown and also the highways. We were able to get back and forth to downtown and hip on the 281 to head out of town to visit family. Great place to stay for a quick visit if you’re looking to check out the local sights in San Antonio and a comfortable room to go back to. Thanks for a great stay Shirley and David! Lovely

My husband and I so enjoyed our stay in this beautiful little hideaway in San Antonio. Shirley was readily available and so kind in accommodating us as we arrived earlier than expected and allowed us to store our luggage until the room became available. The outdoor area is impeccably kept with a fire pit area and beautiful planters. We really enjoyed exploring the neighborhood on foot. So many restaurants easily accessible. Lyft and Ubers can bring you anywhere you need to go very easily. Didn’t pay more than $18 for any ride we took. Had a delightful day walking along the Riverwalk. Highly recommend.

Lovely stay. Very peaceful and quiet. The carriage house was above the garage and was very well appointed. The access stairs are a bit steep but did have a secure railing so did not prove to be an issue for me. The host was very nice and kind and responded to questions very quickly.

The property was gorgeous and the apartment was very comfy and spacious. The stairs were a little steep but nothing crazy. We felt very safe even though we were very close to the downtown area. Absolutely loved the stay.

Quaint Abode in a Beautiful Neighborhood

Staying here was such a delight. The space was clean, cozy and well thought out. Having access to the hot tub was a lovely perk and the neighborhood was quiet and beautiful. 10/10 highly recommend.

ABSOLUTELY the BEST!!!

Where to start? GORGEOUS neighborhood! We were in awe of all the beautiful homes! This property far exceeded our expectations. It was decorated so nicely and super clean, which I really appreciated as I'm a bit of a "clean freak"! The location was very convenient to all the attractions we were interested in. The host recommended several attractions/restaurants, which we visited and thoroughly enjoyed. We'll definitely be returning for our next visit to San Antonio!

A Magical Place!

We travel alot and have to say this is one of the best and sweetest little overnight surprises. It is in a beautiful neighborhood close to everything! The owners attention to detail is like something out of a designer’s magazine. We had everything we needed, and the place was extremely clean. Very comfortable bed and lovely kitchenette. We can’t wait to visit again!

Lovely Sound Of Birds

Peaceful well appointed carriage house

Classic charm in a slightly older than 100 year old carriage house. The room was beautifully done and you couldn't ask for kinder home owners. In a quite upscale neighborhood but a short drive or even walking distance to downtown San Antonio, we had a great time here and would certainly rent from them again. P.S. the hot tub at night with the stars above was a very nice bonus.
