About this property
Casa Piedra - Close to the beach!
Casa Piedra is an elegant, impeccably detailed, one-bedroom casa tucked in the back corner of over three acres of farmland. A short walk to the most beautiful beach in Mexico. It includes a kitchen, living & dining room which opens onto a palapa terrace. The primary bedroom has a king bed & sleeps two. Additionally, the daybed can sleep two. The palapa rooftop terrace features ocean views and an outdoor queen bed. The home is surrounded by mature mango, banana & olive trees.
We will not disturb you on your trip. But if you need us we are available via the app. Daily cleaning or daily Mexican breakfast is available upon request.
Casa Piedra is located in a natural oasis that is an agricultural paradise. The neighborhood is called La Cachora. Surrounded by basil and chili pepper fields, tall palm trees, and an abundance of mango trees. The house is a 5-10 minute walk (300 meters) down a sandy lane to the beach, which stretches for hundreds of miles along the Pacific coast. Make a cocktail and stroll to the sand for whale watching and evening sunset ritual. In the winter months, the turtle sanctuary releases newly hatched sea turtles at 4pm every evening.
Within walking distance at the top of the dirt road are Pino's Market (convenience store for most essentials) and Pacifico Fish Market with great fish tacos and margaritas.
Paradero Hotel restaurant is a favorite food-wise and the architecture is amazing. You can also spend the day at the pool as long as you make a reservation and spend $60 USD on food/drink by the pool. They also have a spa with massages and you can join sound baths or Temazcal ceremonies if they are having them the days you’re there.
Restaurants (make reservations with Open Table):
Jazamango: Solid go-to, great food
El Mirador: (more for the view than the food) you need to be there for sunset, so plan to get there at 6:15 or earlier
Green Room: also go for sunset, enjoy the food. It’s directly on the beach so bring warm clothing.
Breakfast spots:
Go to yoga at Cuatro Vientos, then go to La Esquina across the street for breakfast and see all the locals :)
Cafe Las Tunas is great for their breakfast and bread
Things to do:
On Fridays is the Mercado Organico (farmers market), it’s great, there is a stand that makes the most delicious ceviche/tostadas, live music, and crafts.
Equus Horse stable next door to our house can take you on beach rides, the women who run it are so lovely. Walk over and say hi. Horseback riding on the beach can be arranged.
Fishing boats out of Los Lobos Beach will take you on an inexpensive boat ride and fishing for $300 USD. It’s rugged on a Mexican Panga, with no bathrooms on the boat plus a beach landing, but so fun, and be prepared to catch Dorado, Spanish Mackerel, and Bonito. Also, a great place to buy fresh fish directly from the fisherman.
Besides our local beach, La Pastora surf break is a 15 minute drive to the north, and Cerritos Beach is 15 minutes to the south. Cerritos is the best swimming beach in the area and is great for surfers of all levels. There are tiny drink stands that serve cocktails and fresh coconuts, restaurants on the beach, massages (for $30 USD for 1 hour), you can rent lounge chairs, umbrellas, boards, and have a surf lesson. Just bring Pesos, a towel and sunscreen.

Please stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and protect yourself from the sun to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable visit.
Todos Santos roads are unpaved and bumpy, we are in a historic town that still has the character of old Mexico. We suggest renting an SUV, Jeep, or crossover for your stay. All of the major rental agencies are located at both La Paz International Airport and San Jose del Cabo International Airport. Get Pesos at the ATM the road from Cabo to Todos Santos is a toll road and in excellent condition. The toll does not accept Dollars or cards.
At the property, you'll experience the charm of a rural farm setting surrounded by nature, where you may encounter some critters inside the home. During the warm months of August, September, and October, it can get quite hot, but air conditioning is available in the primary bedroom. Please note that short power outages may occur during these months. We hope this small aspect of rural living won't affect your enjoyment of the serene surroundings.
