About this property
Casa Anita -Luxurious 2 Bedroom, 2.5 Bath private villa with saltwater Pool
Casa Anita is a luxurious and inviting villa, with very comfortable furnishings, beautiful arches and columns that accent the main floor and surround a nice central pool and fountain. It is unique in the heart of Granada within 3 blocks of Central Park with all that it has to offer, such as Dining, Night Life, Shopping and Museums, just to mention a few.
There are two luxurious bedrooms upstairs that have ample space, very comfortable queen size beds, TV's with cable, air-conditioning and each have on-suite baths.
Mild temperatures, blue skies spotted with white clouds, the sound of dove and Kiskadee, and an occasional glimpse of parrots just off the upstairs balcony. The sound of horse hooves on the cobble stone streets, the aroma of breakfast cooking at one of the local restaurants around the corner....all while enjoying a cup of locally grown coffee. This is just one morning in the real everyday world at Casa Anita.
No trip to Nicaragua is complete without a trip to Granada to experience the warmth and hospitalility of it's people, and culture. It is a relaxed and easy pace where schedules and agendas are almost non-existant. You can leave your watch at home. A horse drawn carriage is just the right pace for taking in all of the historic sites, some of which date back to 1524, when Granada was founded.
Just a few blocks past Central Park and you will find Lake Nicaragua (7th largest lake in the world) where boat tours are available to explore some of the 365 islands and habitats formed by the Mombacho Volcanic eruption from over 20,000 years ago. Now dormant, Mombacho reserve is mostly covered by a mystical cloud forest. Tours are available for the adventurous at heart.
The villa comes equipped with soap, toilet paper, house-keeper 6 days per week and hot water on demand, which means you never run out!

About the host
Hosted by Anita Worrell

My husband and I are retired. We have been married for 31 years and raised a blended family of five children. God has blessed us with twenty-four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. As strong Christians we thank GOD for the opportunity to own a villa in Nicaragua and pray that we are able to honor HIM with it.
Why they chose this property
My husband first traveled to Nicaragua in 1971 and was intrigued by the culture, however he was not able to return again until 2008 when we met up with his college roommate and friends who are originally from Nicaragua. We both fell in love instantly with the warm people and the beautiful country and are in awe of the astonishing architechture and unique culture. We have intentions in the next few years of retiring to Nicaragua, however in the mean time thought we could enjoy our own piece of heaven. We searched tediously for a villa that was warm, inviting, elegant and close to everything and the first time we looked at it on-line we knew this was the one. Of course when you walk into Casa Anita you will see that you instantly feel at home. We decided to purchase this villa for a vacation rental and our home away from home until we retire to Nicaragua in the near future.
What makes this property unique
Casa Anita is just 1 & 1/2 block from Mercedes Cathedral. The saltwater pool is in the center of the house, surrounded by living room, dining room, kitchen and entry way. Up the stairs you will find a central balcony with the two bedrooms on opposite ends each with their own balconies. On the center balcony there is a small dining table for 4 people, a television, a desk and a wet bar with a coffee maker. It is the perfect place to have coffee in the morning while you plan your day of adventure.
Just 3 1/2 blocks away, in Central Park, you will find anything you like from Horse Carriage rides to local art and crafts, restaurants and Night-Life surround Central Park. Just 6 blocks further and you are at the 7th largest lake in the world. You can take a boat ride to Zapatera Island, Ometepe Island or tour the Isletas (Islands), and feed the monkeys on Monkey Island, swim, fish or just admire the serenity of it. Granada is a beautiful town with great architecture and amazing history.
