It was a great place to stay. Very clean with a lot of amenities. Hosts were very nice and very accommodating. It is a Wyndham property so there was some discussion about bringing our husbands there next time to listen to the talk, which was a little odd.

Couldn’t have found a better location for a girl’s weekend. Pools were clean and warm, it was walkable to harbor area, and was great to have onsite parking. 10/10 will stay here again.

Great Newport Property

The unit was clean and ready for us to check into when promised. They maintain the resort very well and it's located close enough to downtown Newport to walk from the resort. We were very happy with our stay there.

Centric Location

The Vacation Club is perfectly located... centric but away from the hustle bustle of Bowen's Warf. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Very safe to walk to and from during the day or night.

Great Resort in Newport!

This is our 5th time staying at this resort in Newport. Very close to everything (walking distance) - parked the car for the entire weekend. Staff is friendly and helpful. Free cocktail hour in the lobby Friday afternoon! Spacious unit which had everything we needed for a fantastic weekend. We will definitely be back!

Wyndham Resort is a Winner

Our 2 bedroom/2 bath suite was clean, well maintained with full kitchen. The propery offered excellent amenities, activity center for children, in-house theater, indoor/outdoor pools, with fabulous staff, and service! Location was ideal. Walking distance to everything. Free parking.

Perfect for the start of our New England tour.

We were on our way to tour New England for a fall tour. Our first stop was a 2 day stay at The Point. Even though we arrived late on the first night the staff was available and very helpful. They pointed us to a great restaurant. Every thing about the condominium was as advertised and the Newport location near the seaside was perfect for the start of our tour.

Fabulous accommodation in picturesque Newport.

We had the split level 2 bed unit. Very spacious and well appointed. The facilities were fabulous although trying to find the gym early in the morning is entertaining- as main door was shut so they sent me on a detour. It is all about location and resort is well positioned, right in the centre, and on the water front.

quiet seaside resort get away

We enjoyed our weekend anniversary in Newport at the Wyndham Inn at Long Wharf. The views were amazing, the condo we were in was beautiful, clean and had all the luxuries we were expecting. The gym and indoor pool were nice and in great shape, the grounds were beautifully kept and the location couldn't be better! We could see the boats in the harbour from our bed or from the couch, we were able to walk downtown, it was quiet and off the main street enough but close enough that we didn't have to drive anywhere and worry about parking- we were able to walk everywhere we went. There are great antique shops near by as well as the brick market plaza and all the other great spots that Newport has to offer. We go to Newport several times a year because it is close to home but feels like a real vacation, we have never stayed at this resort before but now we will stay at this resort every time!

Room was just what we needed.

For the most part, we enjoyed our stay at this facility. The room was large enough for a family of 5 and there were activities for the kids. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils. The only complaint we had was we went to the pool one day and there was a family (parents drinking alcohol) there not watching their kids while they used the pools- and there were probably 6-7 small kids in the hot tub despite there being a rule of 13 and over. We later discovered pieces of diaper and/or toilet paper floating around and my daughter confirmed after chatting with one of the kids that her 4 year old sister was wearing a regular diaper in the water and it had started disintegrating. That was it for us, we left. No one is supervising the pool area or enforcing the rules despite multiple employees having walked through the pool area (it seemed to be a main thoroughfare from on side of the resort to another). Better vigilance in the pool area may have been nice.
