Very clean, nicely appointed, and in a good location for downtown activities. For anyone with mobility issues, know that there is a short downhill walk on pavement to the entrance. Once inside there are more steps down from the kitchen to the living room and one step up into the bedrooms. Not an issue for us but could be for others. Would stay again if in Roanoke.
Very clean and just as described. Was directed outside of VRBO to complete checkin process and give security deposit, which I did not love. Once I got over that, our stay was perfect!
This was a trip for our son’s 16th birthday to come and watch trains!! And the views here are so beautiful so much history to this town. We will be coming back soon!
The property was exactly as described. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The location was very convenient to everywhere in Roanoke. The communication with the host was excellent! We would stay again!

Great communication, easy and clear instructions and good location. Parking was easy with a dedicated spot for the unit as well. I was in town for bike races and this was a perfect rental for that. We only had 3 adults but plenty of space that we didn't feel on top of each other at all. Used the kitchen and was happy to find all cooking utensils needed.
would stay again
This was the perfect place for me and a friend to spend Christmas! Roanoke and the surrounding area has so many things to do, and the downtown is very walkable. Additionally, the place had everything we could possibly want for cooking, baking, and overall just a wonderful Christmas vacation. Separate rooms far enough away from each other that it didn't feel uncomfortable like sharing a hotel room, with enough common spaces to hang out during the day. Host communicated well and was very available should we have had any questions or concerns (we did not, everything was ready for us when we got there).
We enjoyed our stay! Location was perfect for where we needed to be. The beds were very comfortable! Kitchen and bathroom were both really nice! The only negative was that the flooring is all concrete and has a lot of steps and a ledge. Both my kids fell and hit their heads on the floor. So I wouldn’t recommend if you have a child who isn’t walking yet. The only other thing was the day we left there were 5 other cars parked so it blocked being able to get out without having to go over a curb and see the road clearly. But overall I’d recommend. It was clean and comfortable

Ok stay, but not great
The check in process was easy and the place was spacious.
Cleanliness was my biggest gripe. There was white dog hair all over the ground which subsequently got on clothing and luggage. There was long black human hair all over the bathroom floor and in the shower. I also had hair all over my comforter which leads me to believe the linens were not changed or cleaned.
The TV remote in my bedroom did not work which made it unusable. The Blackstone outside was also unusable as it was completely rusted over.
The other issue was a small electric car kept parking on the sidewalk leading into the unit as it appeared somebody was stealing a charge from the property. It was very uncomfortable to continue having someone sit outside in their vehicle when you’re coming and going.I do not fault the owner for this necessarily.
Besides the hair the place was clean and adequate. The bathroom was very nice and the shower had amazing water pressure.
Not a horrible place for the price but would not likely stay again.
I think for what you pay, this is a great option and it’s centrally located. There were a couple of things worth mentioning in case it bothers you. This is in the basement of a house and that each room is on a different level.
You can definitely hear the people above ypu walking, but for me that was easy enough to tune out. While here I suffered an issue with my piriformis muscle. The issue was not because of the apartment, but climbing up and down the different levels got tricky. So if you have a bad back I don't recommend. The levels are total fine for folks with normal mobility though, and actually kind of cool if you aren’t in pain.
The last issues were that the ice machine didn’t work, and when it rained there was a leak coming down the stairs. Maintenance was super prompt about responding to the ice machine, but wasn't able to fix it during my stay. The leak went unreported because I had already had two instances of outside folks being in the house and I wanted my alone time. (The two instances were maintenence and then getting a five minute warning when someone was coming to spray for bugs.)
I'm pointing out the negatives because the other reviews were so positive and I wish I knew some of these things, but truly there is a lot that is great about the propety. Easy parking, safe neighborhood, really nice touches on the appliances, and truly huge tvs. Depends on what is important to you, but it’s a good option for the area.
