About the host

Hosted by Kendra Appleton

Host profile image
I’m from Colorado, and Luke is from Wisconsin. We are both teachers and love hiking, fly fishing, and traveling. We love hosting because we are passionate about sharing this special, magical place with others, and we’ve loved hearing all the reasons people are staying at the cottage.

Why they chose this property

Luke (my husband) grew up in this area and grew up fishing the local trout stream such as the Kinnikinnick, the Rush River, and of course the Trimbelle. His dream has been to own property on these streams, and the Trimbelle Cottage is a dream come true for him. I, too, have fallen in love with this area.

What makes this property unique

A place to relax, to connect, to adventure, the Trimbelle Cottage is a marvel both inside and out. Inside, guest will find several games and puzzles, a record player, and a Smart TV with access to streaming services. Outside, we have seven acres along the class one trout stream, the Trimbelle River. Our property contains a public easement so that local anglers can fish and access the river too.
