Vacation Home - Larger Home with Privacy and Scenic Views

Just a short, scenic 45 mile drive SE of the Twin Cities in the bluffs along the Mississippi River.

This vacation rental home will offer great views of the back channel of the river, with 14 acres and lots of privacy. Easy access to historic Red Wing. It is also less than a hour drive to the Minneapolis Airport and Mall of America.

Three Bedrooms and a large loft area which divides into two additional rooms. Plus 2 futons and 3 sleeper sofas offered in this spacious 3600 sq ft home.

Easily sleeps 19+ people. A-frame style home with lots of windows. Dining room with seating for 12, plus room for additional table for seating for 24 total. Updated kitchen, and sitting room with wood-burning fireplace. Large great room with TV, DVD, VCR, and lots of movie selections. Satellite TV and DSL WiFi Internet.

Basement has recreation room with pool, ping pong, air hockey, large screen TV and wet bar.

Outdoors you can enjoy the wrap around deck with views of the water. There is a gas grill, swimming pool, volleyball, basketball, tetherball, and fire pit. The home is air conditioned and heated with lots of parking. Boat launch area just minutes away. Red Wing area also has biking and hiking trails. Also can ski and canoe/innertube close by. Casino within 20 minutes.

We added an infrared sauna in 2015. Access to it is given on a case-by-case basis with a signed waiver. It will not be available from June-August while the pool is open. It will also not be provided when group sizes are above 15 people.

This place was fantastic. Wonderful bedding and mattress. So many things to do with pool, air hockey, tether bal, tons of movies, games, and multiple TVs. Great view. Saw eagles flying from the dining room table. Wonderful communication with the host. Would love to go again.

Great house and location

We had a great time here. Very kid friendly with lots of games and activities for children of all ages. And plenty of room to spread out, which is always a plus. The check out procedure responsibilities were more than a normal house rental, but as long as you give yourself enough time in the morning, you should be okay. Great stay! Thanks much!

The Perfect Vacation Home

This house was incredible and the perfect spot for our large group of ladies! Spacious but cozy, filled with activities and comfy nooks. Ken provided really specific and useful instructions for everything, so check in and check out were so easy. Location was just a short ride away from Red Wing and a night out on the town...Plus a pool and a volleyball court? We'll be coming back here.

Perfect Location for Wedding Weekend!

Thank you to the owners of the property!! Our family stayed at the home over the wedding weekend of our daughter. We have stayed at numerous VRBO properties and selected the property due to its proximity to Red Wing. The home and grounds did not disappoint. The bedrooms and sleeping areas were nice, the beddings were fabulous, the kitchen well appointed, and the other amenities could not have been better for settling in for the COVID weekend. The property owners were easy to work with and by the way - area hiking and views were incredible. Thanks again Ken, our family hope to return one day.

True paradise!!

Look no further. This place had EVERYTHING! The views were amazing, the pool was perfect, there were so many games to play on site (pool, air hockey, ping pong). Tons of family fun! Tons of space. Plus, you got the best of both worlds-seclusion and peace on the property, and a town less than 10 minutes away that has everything you need, restaurants, wal-mart, target, cute shops. Red Wing Confectionery! This is one of the best VRBOs I have ever stayed at. Don't miss it!!

over all we had a wonderful time with family and the house worked well for our needs.

This house worked out great for our family vacation, offered lots of activates and grandkids loved having a pool. We chose this house based on its location to our family in the area, which made it perfect for us. We are used to resorts with amenities/luxuries so this was a little different for us, as we needed to bring our own towels for both bath and pool thankfully we drove (900+ miles) and did not fly so we did have room to pack them. The property had beautiful views and the location was perfect for us however for the cost the maintenance/upkeep could have been better. The cabin/house could use a little TLC. Ken the owner was very pleasant and allowed us to have a spur of the moment family BBQ for an additional fee as we have a large family… over all we had a wonderful time with family and the house worked well for our needs.

The entire place was very clean and extremely comfortable. We had a wonderful time relaxing before and after the wedding. I only wish we could stay longer because of how comfortable and beautiful the location is. The view is spectacular.

My family enjoyed our stay. We had a wedding nearby, just south of Redwing, and staying here was great - very close to Redwing, lots of space to hang out, plenty of beds. My parents and siblings had a nice time, Mom even played some pool on the nice pool table! Big thanks to our host.

Great Spot for Large Group

This property worked great for a group of 20 adults. We didn’t spend a lot of time at the house during the day but there is more than enough outdoor space for activities, yard games, etc. if that’s in your plans. The inside has many seating areas to congregate as well. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Great place for a large group

We had a great get-away as an extended family. We spent a lot of time in the pool, lots of games, outdoor toys, grill, any kind of utensils and dishes to use for cooking. Would definitely recommend for a large group wanting to get away from town, but close enough to groceries, other amenities in Red Wing.

Great Family Getaway

This is a great place for a large group. We had 17 people between 5 families and had more than enough room to hang out and places to sleep. I know there were things to do in the area but we spent all our time hanging out in the pool and on the large deck. The kids had fun playing volleyball and playing in the sand. The adults enjoyed the tether ball and provided great entertainment for all! The house was very clean and provided all the amenities we needed to cook for a large group. Highly recommend this property for any family gathering! Ken the host was very helpful and answered all my questions and provided great information before and during our stay.

Great Family Getaway

My family retreated to this home and thoroughly enjoyed swimming, playing yard games, volleyball, and tetherball outside, as well as biking. Inside we enjoyed playing pool, air hockey, and indoor games. There are plenty of spaces for activities. We did our own cooking in the well supplied kitchen. The owner was very responsive to questions and issues. I would recommend this home for a family gathering.

Great Gathering Getaway

Excellent abode. Plenty of space and sleeping areas for guests. The morning view for a quiet cup of coffee is definitely a show stealer. For a group of guys on their bachelor party tour, this was an awesome experience. Pool table and air hockey table were used pretty much the entire duration! The host was great with communication and itemized they rules/expectations and check-in/out process. Would definitely do this again!
