Host was a great communicator and very responsive to our inquiries. The heated pool was a highlight, especially for the area. Beautiful views of the Mississippi River from the front porch. Would stay again!
House is in a good location, with local and chain restaurants within short walking distance. It is also less than a mile to the downtown area/marina with even more options for food and shopping. The house is owned and operated by a Motel, whose guests share the pool shown. Pool was nicely stocked with toys and floaties for both kids and adults. The house has been nicely updated, but does show its age in areas (sagging back porch for example). The bedrooms are spacious but the third bedroom is off of the primary. Great for families with kids, may not work for adult groups wanting more privacy. The only bathroom in the house is upstairs and also off the primary bedroom which would make things difficult for anyone with mobility issues or not wanting to wake others up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom.
Spent a long weekend with husband and our 2 pups. Beautiful spot to take in sunrise each morning. Location was great with easy access to walking/bike path. Back porch also made it easy for us to store our bikes. Host was very responsive. Highly recommend this spot.
A cute, very clean, and well maintained home with everything you could possibly need. We were in Lake City visiting family and spent many evenings entertaining them at the house and enjoying the pool located just outside the back door. There is a beautiful view of the lake from the front porch which we often enjoyed. We will definitely be back!
The host was very helpful and took care of all the details for us to feel spoiled. The kids loved the pool and everyone loved the house. The view of the lake was beautiful and the home was decorated so perfectly.
The house was decorated nicely. Kitchen was lacking in knives that could cut, something to scrub a pan with and a few more utensils. When a house sleeps 7 and has 1 bathroom, a few more mirrors and wastebaskets would be good. Not another mirror in the house so it made getting ready in the morning difficult. Also, having to walk through someone's bedroom to get to a bathroom was a real challenge for us. The description of the property said there was a high chair and an iron and ironing board, but there wasn't. Water coming in during the rain was scary for the children. It ran through the front door, through both stairway windows and through the basement door. we mopped it up with hand towels and wash cloths and our beach towels. Also, our son took his 1 year old son into the shower with him and a hose was started outside and the water turned very, very hot which was really unfortunate. Host was kind and the pool was fatastic. We would stay there again but not in the house due to the bathroom situation, but we would rent a room in the motel.
We threw a very chill bachelorette party for my cousin & this rental was a great find! The pool was right next to the house which was perfect for us. Beau was very responsive and accommodating - if we needed something he could provide it for us within minutes. The view was beautiful and we were in walking distance from all of the activities we did. Would definitely go back & will be recommending to others!
The house was so cute and the main floor was beautiful!! Great kitchen and living/dining space with plenty of light. Upstairs was nice too, cozy and warm. One small bathroom upstairs only, so trips up to it is difficult for anyone with knee problems. The proximity to the road and traffic made it difficult to sleep if you are used to silence. Need room darkening shades as its bright with the street lights. The view is beautiful though!!! The dog friendliness was a definite bonus!!! Our puppies settled right in!!! It was an awesome get away!!!
