Adorable House With Great Views

The property is very cute and great for a group of friends. The beds were comfortable and we loved being out on the deck when it wasn't raining. Communication with the host was easy and we'd definitely stay again!

The lake views were beautiful. Location was great. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was updated but tight. One bathroom might not be enough for a house that sleeps 10. Plenty of table space in two dining areas. We think a former resident may have unknowingly locked us out of watching the TV. Overall it was a wonderful stay.

Great house, great views, great stay!

Our party of nine (6 adults, 3 kids) loved out stay at Villa del Lago. The house was big, well furnished and the view of the lake could not be beat. Walking distance to shops and restaurants, we really enjoyed the outdoor spaces and check-in / check-out were a breeze. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a delightful family gathering with plenty of room in the kitchen. A store nearby had the essentials with many restaurants within walking distance.Travel time to Minneapolis was about an hour along beautiful winding roads. Property manager was very nice and we hope to stay &explore again in the spring/summer

Beautiful Labor day weekend in Pepin!

My family and I stayed here over labor day weekend and it was amazing! The views of the lake from the deck and sunroom were beautiful and the beach is literally a 3 min walk from the house. Amazing weekend all around. Matt and Amy were great hosts and easy to communicate with. Beautiful place and a wonderful weekend!

Pepin Paradise

Very lovely home with all the room your party needs to have a wonderful getaway! Close to all the action and a small walk away from the Pier and the Pickle Factory. Cannot forget all the Wildlife and the Patio where so many memories were made. Thank you all so much for hosting us for the 100 Mile Garage sale 2024.

Beautiful sunny weekend

We loved our stay! Even in the sub-zero weather the house is cozy, sunny and generously comfortable! Even now I imagine being curled up on the couch looking out over the winter expanse of the lake while sun floods the room. We love this house and this view and will definitely be back!

A nice place to stay

The home had enough room for our family and has all the amenities. It would be nice to have more than one bathroom. Due to the weather we did not get to enjoy the deck or water.

Family Time

We really enjoyed our stay. This home is clean, spacious, comfortable and well cared for. The beds are very comfortable. It is obvious the owners take pride in their home. Matt was readily accessible if a question needed answering. This home is very convenient to restaurants, grocery store, marina and the beach. There is plenty to explore in the area. The eagle watching from the deck was great! We even enjoyed the trains!

Clean and Relaxing

We had a great time during our stay. The house is clean and supplied with everything you need. Lots of natural light and windows to enjoy the fresh air. It was walking distance to the lake, market and restaurants. It was very easy to get in contact with the host and we had no hassle at all checking in/out. We would stay again at this property.

Great stay, one little blip

We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The open, expansive view of the river was exactly what I needed as a break. Some great decisions were made about furnishings, like the table in the sunroom and the one on the deck. The double glass windows do a lot to muffle the train noise. We've stayed along these tracks before and this was definitely the quietest. Everything was clean and in excellent working order EXCEPT the bathtub/shower drain. It really breaks up the ambiance to have to stand in 3-4 inches of soapy, scrummy water while showering. The bath mat was getting slippery and there is nothing to hold on to. Trying to rinse my feet and ankles off was a trick. I believe an earlier review complained about this drain. If it's been cleared since, perhaps it needs maintenance after each stay.Might as well have the shower experience live up to the rest of the nice stay!

Matt and Amy first discovered Lake Pepin when moving to Minnesota in 2009. After a few years of spending days on the lake, in 2013 we purchased a summer home in Pepin. We loved it so much, we decided to make Pepin our full time residence. We enjoy everything Pepin has to offer. From its incredible scenic beauty and ample recreation to its wonderful people. We welcome you to Pepin and hope you enjoy your stay.

We decided to purchase this home because of many of the same reasons we purchased our first home in Pepin. After a few summers on the lake, we fell in love with the laid back lifestyle and friendly people of this community. We have a vibrant and joyful mix of people who make this place truly special.

What makes this property unique

Villa Del Lago's charm and location set it apart from other homes. It offers stunning views of Lake Pepin in a warm and comfortable home. Located in the Village of Pepin, it is walking distance to restaurants, shopping, a public beach and marina. However, like nearly all lakefront homes on Lake Pepin, the railroad is between the house and the water. The noise from the train does bother some. In 2015 the Village of Pepin established a quiet zone which prohibits trains from blowing their horns while traveling through town (unless needed).
