About this property
Waterfront A-Frame w/ Perfect View of Lake Pepin!
Welcome to The Dockside A-Frame Cabin! The prime spot in Pepin, you are right on the waterfront in a stylish A-Frame home with a balcony and sweeping Lake Pepin views. Wake up with coffee to a river view. Stroll to the beach, and grab lunch at the Pickle Factory. Walk to dinner at the famed Harbor View Cafe, then enjoy a glass of local wine at Rivertime Wine Bar or Villa Bellezza winery. End your evenings on the balcony, watching the sunset.
This is one of two units on the Dockside property!
Right on the marina, you are within walking distance of The Harbor View Cafe, The Pickle Factory, The Homemade Cafe, and Villa Bellezza winery.
This funky A-Frame is one of the most unique spaces along the Great River Road. It sits right on 1st street in the Village of Pepin, less than 100 feet from the Pepin Marina and the Lake (thought it's called Lake Pepin, it's actually the widest part of the Mississippi River).
Your space consists of a large, open and airy A-Frame cabin, which is comprised of an open concept living, dining, and kitchen area, all underneath the soaring 18-foot cedar-clad ceiling. The spiral staircase leads to the sleeping loft, with a super comfy queen bed. Downstairs, you'll have another entire living room/den, the master bedroom with a sliding patio door to the side patio, and the master bathroom with tub and shower.
There's a large second-story deck on the front of the cabin with river views, perfect for eating outside, watching sunsets, and taking in the activity of the marina.
Please note that the A-Frame Cabin is one of two units at The Dockside -- the other is the Marina Bungalow. Each unit can be rented on its own, or the entire property can be booked and a pass-through door can be unlocked to enjoy The Dockside as one massive, 4-bedroom, 4-bath home with two kitchens, two dining rooms, three living rooms/TVs, and a hot tub! Links for all listings are in my host profile.
The Dockside has everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay.
Please note that there is an active train line right out in front -- it runs the entire length of the village and river, and freight do trains pass by somewhat frequently, so once in a while there is the rumble of a train chugging by. Most people find it charming and not a big distraction (kids really love it), but if you're a very light sleeper this is something to note!
Also, please be aware that the A-Frame Cabin is one of two units on the property, which is essentially a very large duplex. It's a fully private unit with a private entrance, but there are some shared walls with the Marina Bungalow -- the walls are insulated and almost soundproof, but you still may hear some guest activity in the other unit at times.
There is so much to see and to do here in the great river valley! I'll be happy to share all my tips with you on dining, sightseeing, and activities.
Please remove your shoes in the entryway! Absolutely no parties. Quiet hours begin at 10pm, and must be respected for the sake of any guests that may be staying in the Marina Bungalow unit, and for our neighbors. No pets unless previously authorized by the host, and absolutely no smoking.
We've got super nice neighbors, so it's really important to make sure they are not disturbed during your stay. This means: absolutely no excessive noise, and no parties. Please be quiet and respectful while here, and when entering/exiting the property or spending time in the yard or on the deck. Thanks!
