Mississippi Getaway
The cabin house was neat and tidy and well decorated! Our host provided beautiful towels and bedding including two featherbeds that felt like heaven while sleeping on a pull out couch! Our kitchen and grilling area was well stock amd easy to use.Our host was excellent! We had issues with a wasp nest on the deck and they came over in a timely manner and sprayed for us! Thank you we ! We spent time relaxing in the the much needed A/C and on the spacious deck. We chartered a sail on a 31 foot sailboat out of the marina in town and it was a beautiful afternoon!
we explored the shops and winery in town. Stockholm chocolates and pies were delightful!
Our only disappointment is that we were not informed by our host that we would not have a dock or easy lake access for our stay until the morning we departed for their home We would have liked to have this information in the timeframe for a full refund and re book somewhere with cleaner easier access to the water. We booked this property specifically because it was on the water and the water was so low there was no dock. And we loved taking out the kayak and paddleboat on the lake but had to wade through stinky mud to pull the boats out past the seaweed to deep enough water to boat.
We enjoyed much needed down time and fun-filled family time!
