Lake House Retreat- Sauna/ Fire Pit/3 BR Escape

Casita by the Lake is centrally located near Lake Pepin, Downtown & the Marina. You will be amazed at the beauty of the bluffs & Majestic Mississippi.

Within walking distance are restaurants, bars, shops, and the nearby marina. Spend your time cruising out on the lake fishing or walk/bike out on the paved path alongside the river. After a day of adventure, BBQ in the backyard, relax and recharge in the sauna and enjoy a night under the stars around the bonfire.

Enjoy this Wonderful Lake House consisting of 3 beds, 1.5 baths and an outdoor FInnish Sauna near the beautiful Mississippi. The home has an open floor plan with tall ceilings. 2 of the upstairs bedrooms consist of queen beds and closets. The third downstairs bedroom has a pull-out King and a trundle with 2 twin beds. There are 2 bathrooms, one on each floor.

The kitchen is fully prepped for any meal you plan to prepare or bake. The kitchen table is extendable for larger or smaller parties. The living room is equipped with a smart TV for watching movies, listening to music, or simply hanging out and enjoying quality time with your loved ones. There are available games to keep you entertained while inside. Fast internet speeds will keep up with whatever workload you have.

A designated office is perfect for remote work or just a quiet place to read, hang out or relax. There are 2 desks, one with a computer setup, the other with a mirror and lighting great for makeup application for any special events, weddings, gatherings, etc.

The outdoor areas include the front porch and backyard. Enjoy the serene vibe of the front porch which receives the most sun throughout the day where you'll be able to view the nearby marina. The backyard includes a deck with a BBQ pit and patio set to enjoy the outdoors. There is also a bonfire pit with plenty of chairs for all to sit around and enjoy the fire.

The newest addition is the Finnish sauna in the back yard of the home. This 6 person sauna offers a luxurious and serene escape. The sauna is spacious with warm, rich cedar panels that create a soothing atmosphere, complimented by soft ambient lighting. The benches are designed for comfort allowing guests to fully stretch out with ease. Adjacent to the sauna is a well-appointed changing room, featuring ample storage for belongings and comfortable seating. The changing room is designed with privacy in mind, offering a tranquil space to prepare for or unwind after a sauna session. With it's blend of comfort, privacy and a calming aesthetic, this Sauna setup is ideal for groups or individuals looking to recharge during their stay.

Our family of 5 and two dogs had a wonderful trip to home on Lake Pepin. The home was well stocked with kitchen appliances and anything we could need to cook home cooked meals. We enjoyed the comfort of the high quality beds and linens. Walking to the lake was such a treat even though it was cold out. The sauna was amazing and we used it daily. We also truly enjoyed walking to Heidi’s cafe and the bowling alley. I can’t recommend this rental enough for anyone looking to be near the water and enjoy a nice relaxing environment.

The Casita by the Lake was charming for our vacation in Lake City. Patty was quick to answer questions, check-in was seamless, and everything was clean and well-labeled for easy use. The property is located right in the heart of Lake City, next to Lake Pepin! It's easy to get to and has a nice set up with an open kitchen to living room concept which is great for a stay with friends or family! The sauna is nice and the backyard looked perfect for summer hangouts (we were there in January so couldn't enjoy that but I imagine it's nice!)

Our stay at the Lake House was perfect! My siblings, Mom, and I met from all across the country to celebrate the life of two family members, and our host made sure our every need was accommodated. The house was as cute as can be, extra comfortable, and in the most gorgeous location. I was sad when our time in Lake City came to an end!

Our group had an amazing stay at the Lake House! The house is adorable, and had everything we needed and more. There is PLENTY to do in Lake City, and a lot is within walking distance. Our host, Patty, was super responsive, and answered all our questions quickly. No complaints whatsoever! If I could give more than 5-stars I would!

We enjoyed this home and can’t wait to return!

This home exceeded our expectations! Our family of 6 including two small children stayed here and our friends would come over with their 4 children. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax or sit together and eat comfortably. The location was right near the action and water ski events (only a block away). We loved being able to listen to the concerts with the door open or sitting in the backyard; but if we closed the windows and turned on a fan then the music wasn’t loud or could barely be heard. Also enjoyed the sauna! The retractable gate for pets was appreciated. The owner was super fast to respond and made every effort to make sure our stay and experience was great! And it was! We would stay here again!
