We had a wonderful visit to Lake City. The house has tons of character and charm. We loved the screened porch for morning and afternoon lounging. Great location on the water, and great access to enjoy walking paths near the water and marina. The views are incredible!
We had a great 10 day stay. Communication with Holly was excellent and very responsive. The house is in a fantastic location. Quaint house.
Sleeps four comfortably. All dishes, pans, towels, etc…. Included. The grill was great.
Will definitely do it again.

Wish I could live here!
This special place is my hands down favorite. It combines the charm of the old house - 3 porches! adorable upper bedroom and bath with its own eagles nest balcony - with modern comfort. The luxurious double whirlpool is the cherry on this sundae. Add the amazing view of Lake Pepin and her shores, the interesting water craft, and very short walk to town, restaurants, even a DQ. Result? Serene perfection. Holly is a great owner and so easy to work with. It's a calm and bright spot in a tumultuous world. Thank you Holly!!!
House was very clean, close to water, views are excellent. Only downside is the limited seating in front room. Overall pleased with property. Good choice for couples stay.
Could be the best location in Lake City. Water views on 2 sides from a screened in Porch were just what we were looking for. With temps in the 80s, it helped that the porch was on the north side of the house. The park directly across the street provided easy access to what appeared to be the only beach in town. House was well equipped with everything we needed.
this is our second stay at this location. After staying the week before at a 5-star location in the same town, this can best be described as a 3 or 4 star location. Very little maintenance/updates have been done in the last year since our last stay. During our stay we had a major storm (winds) and the screen porch had one panel blow out. Contacted host and while they sent someone out to clean up the screen, the replacement was not made during our next week of stay. It was mostly important as the May Fly hatch was ongoing through this week and there was no other place outdoor bug free area and with this screen missing we were forced to endure the May Flies if outdoors or stay inside. Place is too small to stay inside for long. Host has been communicative, however, slow with execution.
We enjoyed our stay so much! The screened in porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening relaxation. You can’t beat the location, within walking distance of the marina, and downtown area. The vibe and decor of the home was perfect, and those big windows gave the best view of Lake Pepin. The kitchen and amenities were everything you could need and more. We hope to be back next summer!
Even better in person! Beautifully decorated, has just about everything you need for a comfortable stay. Just a few steps from the lake with gorgeous views, especially for sunrise/sunset. It says “sleeps 6” but there are only two beds and the two adorable couches would hardly fit a child comfortably. There would be floor space for an air mattress but you would have to bring your own, I did not see one in any of the closets.Plenty of extra linens and towels. The screen porch was fantastic to be able to enjoy summer nights without bugs. It was great to be able to walk to shops, the Thursday Farmers Market, a pharmacy, and great breakfast cafes. We drove across the lake for lunch and dinners, the lavender farm, and wineries. Overall, we would absolutely stay again. It was a great location for a girls weekend with plenty to do in the area.
The views were amazing, including the sunrises, sunsets & bald eagles! very quiet area & very walkable to everything. there was no hot tub as noted but temps outside were hot that week. only suggestion would be for better beds, the mattresses were very hard so it was painful sleeping for me.
There was no hot tub, as advertised. Water doesn't stay hot for more than 5-10 minutes while bathing or showering. Upstairs bathtub had no actual faucet spout to fill the tub.Lots of cobwebs. Location was beautiful.Views were beautiful.Style of house was nice.
We stayed in Holly’s lake house for Memorial Day weekend. We had such a blast! Very comfy and clean. We sat on the porch swing a lot with our doggie and watched the people!Nice quiet street, ample parking, walk to everything, the list goes on and on!We will be back, soon I hope!Julie Madison, WI

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
Unclean with lots of live and dead bugs, great location
Dust bunnies and dead bugs everywhere. Most unclean VRBO I've ever stayed in. Had to vacuum the place myself so my 16-month-old didn't put dead bugs or dust bunnies in his mouth. Communication with host was difficult as they were "stressed out", which is apparently why it wasn't clean. The owner threatened to leave a bad review for me when i gave her the chance to make it right. She also told me i left it dirty, but i have plenty of pictures to price others. They didn't make muchthem.
This is our third year renting this sweet little house. We rent it because it is in walking distance to my parents house when we visit from NC. We love it because of the view and the cozy details throughout. The house is well stocked. The sunrise over the frozen lake and the easy walk to Heidi's Huggamug were bonuses. It's a charming home, in a lovely neighborhood.
