This was our second stay at the Bamboo, beautiful quiet property. Clean and comfortable, love the French press and Japanese soak tub, I haven’t slept that well since our last visit, will be back again next year

John is a warm and welcoming host. My husband, sweet dog and I very much enjoyed our stay in this well located cozy and rustic apartment. The huge copper soaking tub was very relaxing and a lovely treat. The bed was so comfy and we all slept great!

This is an attractive apartment (one of two) attached to the owner's home, well set off the road. All the views are of vines, fields, and trees. The kitchen is well-equipped, there is a large bedroom/sitting room, with a comfy bed, and a huge bathroom, plus two lovely patios. Would be happy to return for a longer stay.

Such a lovely stay. The hosts have gone above a beyond (down to the amenities, and the high quality of linens provided). It was truly a much needed retreat. They were responsive, helpful, understanding, offering availability but giving privacy too.Such a treat to have my pet with me in such a gorgeous space, relaxing in the tub with the amazing view! Highly recommend.

Wonderful Onsen experience in the Pioneer Valley. Cute vintage kitchenette perfectly equipped for cooking. Clean, clutter-free, peaceful, healing place. Do take a soak in the daytime to enjoy the view of Japanese maple and bamboo hedge responding to breezes and sunshine.

Great area and great location -- particularly enjoyed watching the chipmunks from the patio. Great wifi, quiet despite being adjacent to other unit (thick walls!), halfway between Northampton and Easthampton, both worth checking out

We really enjoyed our stay. The landscaping was lovely when you sit outside on the patio. Feels secluded but you are really close to so many things to do. Was unsure when booking about the cedar wet room but absolutely loved it while we were there. Our host was great, met us on arrival and gave us the quick tour. He had left great recommendations for local places as well. I would definitely recommend a stay.

We enjoyed a relaxing few days in the Bamboo Cabin. The bed was comfy and the linen sheets were a treat. John (the host) was kind and amenable.

We owned and operated a popular natural foods restaurant for over 20 years (1991-2012) on the Smith College campus. Green Street Café has been featured in many national and international publications (Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Yankee, New York Times, Boston Globe...). We now farm Greens Treat (the Cafe's former gardens) and provide organic fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers for 20 garden share members. We have 2 friendly dogs.

Why they chose this property

The house and gardens sit on a south facing slope. Sunny and warm all year round with spectacular soil for our gardens. And the view - calming.

Secluded, private and quiet. 6 minutes to downtown Northampton and 5 minutes to Easthampton center.
