Welcome to the Lodge at Bear Creek Lake! Winter Skiing at Big Boulder. Fresh water lake! Fishing! Swimming! Pool too!
A perfect place to escape with family or friends to take in the natural splendor of the surrounding mountains, and enjoy the tranquility of the pristine 160-acre spring-fed lake that is only a 2 minute walk away. As our guest, you will also have access to all of the amenities of the private community of Bear Creek Lakes including the heated outdoor pool, playgrounds, sandy beaches, tennis/basketball/pickleball courts, and more!

The Lodge features an airy and bright open-concept main floor* with a fully stocked gourmet kitchen, breakfast bar with seating for six, dining table, spacious family room that opens to a 30-ft. screened-in porch (where you can enjoy your morning coffee or take in the sunset), washer/dryer, and a brand new “mini split” A/C and heating system throughout. The smoke-free main floor also features a large primary suite with a king bed, TV, full bath, and walk-in closet. Upstairs you’ll find two more large bedrooms, each with a queen and two twin beds, and their own private balcony, as well as another full bathroom. On the ground level, the garage is stocked with sports equipment, corn hole, bikes, and beach chairs of all sizes. When evening falls, enjoy the warmth of the fire pit in comfy Adirondack chairs.

*PLEASE NOTE: Access to the main living area requires a dozen steps and may be difficult for individuals with limited mobility.

-10 beach/pool passes and 2 parking passes are provided so you may enjoy the Bear Creek Lakes community amenities. Please return all passes to their original place before checking out. The boat launch (where you can use the inflatable tubes) is within walking distance, the beach and the pool require a short drive.

THE AREA
So close to historic downtown Jim Thorpe, home to outstanding shopping, restaurants, galleries, theater, wineries, and more. Explore the town with one of the many unique tours—on foot, by trolley, scenic railway, or even in a motorcycle sidecar! Rent a bike to hit the rail trail, hike one of the many scenic trails (the boulder field and Hawk Falls at Hickory Run State Park are a must!) or try your hand at whitewater rafting. And if you’re here to ski, the Lodge is within easy driving distance of multiple ski resorts (Big Boulder, Jack Frost, Blue Mountain).

In addition, Travel + Leisure magazine named Jim Thorpe as one of the best small towns in the US to see fall foliage, and there are options for leaf-peepers of all abilities. Hike the walking paths in Kemmerer Park, enjoy the views from the windows of the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway or blaze your own trail in the 6000-acre Lehigh Gorge State Park. The Jim Thorpe Fall Foliage Festival is held every weekend during the month of October, with delicious foods, spooky ghost tours, and seasonal specials from local restaurants, shops, and galleries.

-Do not leave the fire pit unattended, it is against the HOA community rules, and fines can be issued.

-When using the air/heat units, please only use UP and DOWN arrows on the remote. If other buttons are pressed, the heat/air will stop working. Each unit has a designated remote and they are not interchangeable. Please don't switch the mode on any units. Please keep the remotes out of reach of young children. We appreciate your cooperation.

Booked this for a family Thanksgiving get together. Our house is too small for all of us. It was just perfect. Cozy. It had everything we needed and some extras like a Christmas tree (kids loved this) and warm blankets. Host always responded immediately to any questions. We definitely consider staying again in the warmer season.

Bear Creek lake getaway

Beautiful home and great location. Our family had an amazing holiday weekend staying here. The house is spacious, clean and well equipped with everything you need including bikes and a kayak! The owner reached out a few times to see if we had questions or needed anything. Definitely thinking of booking again.

Pet-friendly home in a residential neighborhood. Good for walking dogs with enough yard space to play outside with dogs. House is user-friendly with practical, sturdy furniture and a well-appointed kitchen with all the necessary appliances, pots & pans, and plates, etc. Labeling on the light/fan switches was a big help also. Beds were comfortable as well. We used the firepit to make s'mores left for us by the host and took the Fall Leaf Train with the dogs. Jim Thorpe is a small town and we would have loved to visit more in-town, but there was also a festival going on so traffic was horrendous. We missed our original train due to traffic and rescheduled for late Sunday night when traffic was less. Great stay.

Love this property at Bear Creek Lake!!

The house was lovely with a great screened in porch and access to the lake. The home was clean and communication with the owner was fanstastic. The kitchen has everything you need including Garbage bags, plenty of TP, dish soap, DW soap, detergent, and even shampoo and conditioner. There are two kayaks and two tubes and plenty of beach passes. The lake is absolutely gorgeous. Quick access to Jim Thorpe. The restaurants we went to had delicious food. So many activities in the area. Highly recommend this home!

The Lodge was perfect!

The Lodge was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 5 kids. The screen porch was a great bonus space. Bedrooms were more spacious than expected! The kitchen was clean and fully stocked for our needs. The host was easy to contact and quickly responded to my precheck-in questions.

Bear Creek Lodge Review

This property was well maintained and enjoyed by all. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for meal making- plenty of pots, cutlery, hand towels, etc. The A/C was perfectly positioned to cool down the area in all of the rooms. The main suite was sweet with the king size bed & large bathroom area. The upstairs rooms were perfect for our group of 6 people. We would definitely recommend this lodge to others!

Super nice log cabin

We loved this house! It felt like a real log cabin . Very clean and well stocked !! Spacious. We loved the bear creek community as well ! We rode the bikes in the garage around the neighborhood. Very easy to ride around and felt safe.Lake is really pretty! And the location is great so close to trails and downtown Jim Thorpe !!

Labor Day Week Vacation

We really enjoyed the property location with all the extra amenities! Since the cabin is in a private community we were able to use the lake for kayaking, the pool and loved the all friendly neighbors. Each night we were in awe of all the deer that walked across the lawn as well as all the other wildlife that stopped by. The cabin is full of everything that you could want or need. Overall wonderful experience.

Fall Getaway

Beautiful Home. My family and I really enjoyed staying here. Is was clean, cozy and perfect. We used the bikes which are accessible in the garage and biked around the pretty neighborhood. Downtown Jim thorp was a short drive away. We spent some time there sightseeing. Pocono outlets are also somewhat close. Plenty to do! The host was very accommodating and friendly when I called to ask a question. 10/10!! 🌟

Jim Thorpe Fam Vacay

We LOVED the property! The home is spacious and stunning. A log cabin straight out of a novel. Most things in the home seem to be new such as, the carpet, the interior wood, the furniture, and the bathroom fixtures. The kitchen is fully stocked with all appliances you will need. The home has so much wildlife right in your backyard. We saw a range or birds, cute chipmunks, bunnies, and wild deer. Our daughter was in heaven on our walks in the yard and around the neighborhood. There were multiple playgrounds, outdoor pool, and the lake beach all minutes from the home. We took advantage of the grill to cook dinners at home but also drove a short distance (~10mins) to Downtown Jim Thorpe. We loved the hawksfall short hike with kids! There's an icecream spot, scoops, a short walk away. Try out Perch for breakfast and head to the 100 mile lookout! We came for the Jack N Jill marathon and this house was everything we needed to mix business with pelasure!

A beautiful sanctuary!

We decided to celebrate my husband's birthday and our anniversary in Jim Thorpe.this year. This house is exactly as is advertised. It is immaculate and nestled in a beautiful community. It is stocked with all the amenities you could want. The owners did a wonderful job decorating as well as making sure you had all the conveniences of homes. The check in was flawless and he also checked in with us the next day to see if there was anything they could do for us! Unheard of!! This home will not disappoint! We will definitely stay here again. We enjoyed a day on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway and downtown shopping. We also took another day and drove to Pocono Premium Outlets- about 40 min away- (over 100 stores) and started our Christmas shopping! We really enjoyed the fall festival and all the wonderful eateries! It was too short a time for me, but we plan on spending a week there next year. Did I mention there is a beautiful lake within walking distance from the house and lots of sweet baby deer just sitting on the lawn as well as the neighbors' lawns in the evening . Truly a relaxing home and lovely area. Thank you Dave and Karen for such a beautiful home and for your attention to detail!

What a lovely getaway!

Loved it! This is a cozy, sunny, very spacious (three-floor) deluxe “cabin” with lots of amenities. The quiet location in a lovely private community of other large, equally well-maintained houses is just right—only a short walk to the lake! The kitchen is perfectly appointed, the furniture updated and comfortable, the beds comfy. Lots of nice touches—I like their taste, which never happens! The light in the entire third floor is great, with skylights in every room. We made most of our meals there, which is fun with the open concept plan to the spacious living room. We used the terrific new grill and loved spending time on the beautiful porch. It has everything you want for a quiet getaway with friends or as a launching pad for day trips. Sunset views from the living room/kitchen are amazing! Can’t wait to go back to take advantage of the private boat launch and swim in the lake and neighborhood pool! Ideal for families with children. (We sampled two out of the THREE neighborhood playgrounds.) And such a quick, easy drive to hiking and the wonderful cultural attractions in charming Jim Thorpe. As I sat in the living room, I was fantasizing about how great it would be for a ski weekend or to enjoy the foliage in the fall. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit, and we look forward to our return!
