Welcome to your trendy 1930s vacation retreat! You are 0.4 miles to McKinney's vibrant Historic Downtown. This mid-century craftsman-style home is tastefully updated while restoring its provincial charms. Authentic shiplap ceilings and modern kitchen with marble countertops & floating shelves. Open & bright living room area. Master Suite with remodeled bath including walk-in-shower. Large secondary bedroom has a vaulted ceiling with exposed wood beams. Third bedroom is a cozy room with a full/twin bunkbed. Full size washer and dryer for longer stays.

Gas stove and furnished kitchen for gathered meals around large kitchen table.

Enjoy coffee on the front or back porch, a good conversation around the fire pit in the fenced yard, and a sound night of sleep in beds with memory toppers.

Excellent food and shopping within a five- ten minute walk. Historic downtown boasts casual to fine dining, locally owned coffee shops and boutiques, a thriving farmer's market on Saturday mornings, festivals and special events throughout the year, and charming neighborhood streets for your morning walk. Be sure to check out our favorites: Bresnan Bread and Pastry, Collective Coffee, Farmers Market (Saturday mornings only), The Yard, Cadillac Pizza, Harvest (1st and 3rd floors), Emporium Pie, Patina Green, the Antique Mall, Yocal Local, Landry Kate, and Willow House and so much more!

Free parking in the driveway and street. Excellent grocery store options with 10-15 minutes (Costco, Trader Joes, Sam's, Kroger).

Wonderful property and stay!

My wife and I came into town on a short business trip, and we absolutely loved staying at this property. It was a well remodeled house, very spacious interior and backyard (great for our two little dogs that we brought with us), and perfect walking distance from Downtown McKinney. We would definitely book here again next time we’re in town.

Lovely visit in a charming, home. Our Host put up a Xmas tree and decorations in and out of house!!!! Added to our amazing family vacation. Location was amazing walked into town in 8 min. Had a little glitch first night and Chris came first thing in the morning and took care of everything. So lovely !

High Tea Party

The ladies of my family enjoyed a weekend together which included a High Tea Party. This place was perfect for the setting and spacious enough to accommodate all of us. The pictures of the space are very much the same in person. It was easy to communicate with the host and she was flexible on when I could check in. I would highly recommend for any small gathering!

Why they chose this property

We love Birdsong Retreat's neighborhood with easy parking and a walk just minutes from the square. The area is quiet yet McKinney offers many special celebrations throughout the year that bring our city together in the downtown area. Throughout the seasons we always find new things to enjoy, interesting new shops popping up, new restaurants and coffee shops to try, or a quaint street to be inspired by architecture and colors. We also enjoy hitting the pickle ball courts at Finch Park. The area has so much to offer.

What makes this property unique

Birdsong Retreat is warm and inviting. We keep it styled yet uncluttered for your stay, your belongings, your retreat, your time away. The home has both a quiet front porch and a covered back patio with a table and grill for an evening under the backyard string lights. In the fall and winter enjoy a bonfire in the fire pit. A fully furnished kitchen makes cooking easy or if you prefer a dining experience just head out the door and take a short stroll to many wonderful options.
