Came down for the long weekend to surprise the parents/grandparents for their anniversary. Everyone had a great time enjoying the house, pool, and beach. Can't wait to do it again!
A beautiful five bedroom, five bath home adjacent to the beach with stunning views. We generally went to the beach after breakfast and used the pool and hot tub below the home after lunch to shelter from the hot afternoon sun.The beach was a close walk for an evening stroll and or swim after dinner.
Great house for a family vacation. My husband and I stayed with our daughters and their families. Every bedroom has a private bathroom which was awesome. There were enough bedrooms with queen or king size beds for all the adults. This is an ideal house for family trips. The location is ideal. It was very convenient to the walkover to the beach and close to restaurants on the east end of Galveston. The private pool under the house was great for relaxing after going to the beach. The interior of the house is really pretty - fun beach style. We cooked dinner at the house one night and the house had the kitchenware that we needed. The management group is very responsive to requests. It was a great trip.
There is not enough good to say about the experience of staying at this house. The open communication between guest and host can not be beat. This has got to be the most beautiful exceptionally decorated wellappointed house in Galveston. The location is great. Steps from the beach. Everything in Galveston is conveniently located. We even went into Houston for a concert. The drive was not bad. Myself husband and 3 sons were there to celebrate my 60th. Everyone loved staying here. My daughter in law who lives on the island tried to stay with us but my baby grandchild was more comfortable at home. Our plan is to make this a tradition. I so look forward to staying here again. I know you will love staying here as much as we did!
The house is amazing. We had a group of 8 long-time friends to celebrate two 60th and two 70ths birthdays. The house was spacious and beautifully decorated. Also, thank goodness for the elevator. It made unloading and loading the cars easy for us old timers. We did have an issue on our first night, but Monica with Southern Sands was on top of it. The issue was promptly handled to our satisfaction. I would definitely recommend this property and Southern Sands Management Group.
My family stayed at 66 Grand Beach for 5 days in July 2026. 8 of us total including my 2 sons age 6 and 10. Lots of room. Very close to the beach. We rented a tent and chairs from an outside group but they were able to set it up right at the end of the walkway to the beach. We spent the mornings at the beach and the swam and played in the pool in the afternoons. The pool is heated perfectly and hot tub was hot. We fixed lunch and kids ate lunch poolside. My nephew grilled burgers and hot dogs one evening on the large charcoal grill. You can raise and lower the charcoal easily with a handle on this grill which was pretty cool. The kitchen was well stocked and beautiful. We did not even go out to eat this vacation because the home was so amazing. Lots of beach towels available and the beds are very comfortable. There is a stunning view of the ocean from the living room, master bedroom and the decks. We especially enjoyed meals at the table that seats 10 because there are direct views of the ocean from the dining room. We have traveled every year for the past 9 years to a different home or condo in and around the Texas coast in the month of July including Crystal Beach, Jamaica Beach, Port Aransas and Galveston, but this home was by far one of the best.
Great property for a family gathering. We enjoyed the large common area for family dinners and cooking. Rooms were a great size. Having a private pool and hot tub was so nice. Going to the beach was a short trip which was wonderful.
