The salty air, sound of the waves and beautiful views made this rental stand out! Great outdoor space and plenty of room for entertaining inside too. Great walking neighborhood, comfortable beds, lots of games and just an overall awesome spot for a getaway! We brought mom for her 80th birthday gift, since she grew up in the area… she was so happy. Great spot!!!

Property was great. Stay was wonderful. Only issue for us was parking. We had big vehicles so we couldn’t all park at the house. We made it work. The one other thing I would suggest is a new outside rug that’s not torn up. Perhaps a better quality. Pieces of that rug were all over the house and our feet. My granddaughter tripped on the pieces. Just a suggestion.

Beautiful property in an excellent location. Can't beat the views in this cozy home, town with lots of amenities is a 20-min walk, and a 5-min walk to a convenience store.

Great location and house

We thoroughly enjoyed the house and our stay. The hosts maintained excellent communication and the house was in great condition. Amazing ocean view with a hot tub and walkable to restaurants and bars. 40 mins to Boston/airport. Highly recommend this rental!

First, the location on the ocean was fantastic! We loved the patio overlooking the ocean with the hot tub. The home was clean, and had all that we needed. Accurate listing. Communication with the owners was great. We really enjoyed our stay and you have some very nice neighbors as well! Highly recommend!

Home for a visit

Beautiful property right on the water with wonderful views. The home was just right for my elderly relatives with 2 bedrooms on the main floor. Anything we needed or asked about was immediately answered by the owners. I would definitely love to come back.

College Parents weekend

We decided to stay in Scituate while coming up to visit son in Boston for his parent's weekend. We wanted to stay this trip out of Boston with easy access to the city and near the shore. Our stay was perfect. The home was very clean, had everything we needed, close enough to walk into town, and the owners were great communicators. Just a great location to also check out other South Shore areas. We would highly recommend and would stay again.

Positive - Beautiful ocean view and the most beautiful sunrise/sunset- Lots of charging stations- Good seating area on the backyard porch- Very friendly neighbourhood - Great neighbours, the right neighbour makes yummy bakeries on weekends- Peggotty Beach is wonderful, clear water, soft sand (5-10 minute drive)- Peggotty Beach has 4 parking spots for non-residents without permits- The house divisions are very practical, 2 bedrooms per floor and each floor as a full bathroom. - The beach next to the lighthouse (5 minute walk) is made of rocks, great to walk dogs in the morning but not to spend the day. - Kitchen is well stocked- Scituate is a charming town with great little shops and restaurants - The town is very clean- The General Store is walking distance and carries lots of products Negative Points- The house needs lots of TLC- The front door has a 2-inch gap underneath, sufficient to have mice come in. It needs to be changed ASAP- No vaccum - Although the window ACs are new, they are very noisy- There is no ventilation in the bathrooms, you must open windowWe had a great time discovering Scituate and this house is located in a Prime area. Thank you for hosting us.

Seaside Slice of Heaven

Super cute coastal retreat right on the water with comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen, BBQ grill to cook just like you’re at home, great spaces inside and outside to enjoy the ocean breeze. The deck overlooking the water has lots of seating - we enjoyed sipping coffee (Keurig bonus!) and nighttime star gazing. The tech in this home was such a delightful surprise several charging stations they supplied every USB you can think of, digital gameboard, and nice sized smart TVs. Superb location to walk to the beach, lighthouse or downtown Scituate. We can’t wait to come back!!

Ocean Edge... Literally

Of all the vacation, homes and apartments we have rented over the years. This was exceptional in every way. The views, spectacular. The kitchen, well stocked with everything you might need. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The wireless and cable connections were generous. And every room had a system for plugging in any phone you may have. All in all an exceptionally wonderful stay.

Best part of the house was the view, short walk to the light house, and the hot tub.Lots of other issues that a 5-star place shouldn’t have. For example, broken hinges on front screen door, back screen door that has to be slammed to shut, window screens falling off the windows, uneven stove in kitchen (all eggs ran to one side of the skillet), ac units that had plugged screens and hardly blew cold air or were so loud you couldn’t hardly hear the TV, lacked towels for showers and/or hot tub/ beach. All in one wash machine and dryer took over 6 hrs to do a cycle. We were very excited had very high expectations due to the great photos on the listing and all of us that stayed 7 were very disappointed in the property for the money that was spent.
