The kids had a blast swimming at the beach area and finding cool rocks. They also, LOVED that it had an upstairs. It was the perfect little family get away!

The ac worked great. Water access was nice. The size of the house was very nice. The assist when needed was timely. The downsides: extremely small - way too small showers. Beds weren’t that comfortable downstairs. The kitchen wasn’t that well stocked with needed cooking items. It would have been nice -and not just on this house but all I have rented if there was a keyless entry for the back door also!!

4th of July family trip

For the money there are better options The lake front pictures shown are not accurate to property The house had items missing like propane tank for bbq pit, coffee pot didn’t work, and property management was notified with no response House is pretty dated But…. Overall it’s on the best side of the lake and we still had an amazing trip

Needs TLC

We left the house yesterday about 4. So the house has been completely empty. First of all let me say I am not one that has high expectations. But I’m pretty disappointed in our stay and this cabin. First of all, no one mowed or weedeated at all, which I specifically asked for. I feel like we had to watch our every step. Secondly, the light bulbs that were out (master shower & closet). No light in the tiny master shower/toilet room. It’s a tiny room that has a fan/light combo. The light is out which meant you couldn’t shower or go to the restroom without the door being open. It’s not acceptable to ask a house guest (at the rate of 2k for 3 nights) to get a ladder out of a shed that obviously hasn’t been opened in many many months to change out a light bulb. Just for the liability alone, I should not have to climb a ladder to change lightbulbs in 9-10’ ceilings. Thirdly, the overall cleanliness was terrible. The upstairs was full of cobwebs and spiders. We had to take bedding off and change sheets because there were spiders in two of the beds. My husband had to bring spider spray to spray along the baseboards and upstairs for our guest to feel comfortable. Not to mention cobwebs all over the house inside and outside. The refrigerator had water and nasty in the drawers that I had to clean before I could put things in it. Lastly, everything on the patio was full of dirtdobers and cobwebs that had to be cleaned just to use it.

Convenient location, great home-base for exploring the DC area.

This is a clean, well appointed home in a quiet suburban neighborhood. Perfect for a small family or group of friends to use as a home-base for visiting the Washington DC area. Close to Dulles airport and the DC Metro system, and just a 45 minute train ride to the Capitol Mall, Smithsonian museums, Arlington and other area attractions. Plenty of shopping, dining and services nearby. Amy is an attentive and gracious host, well prepared to see to your needs.

Comfortable Townhome

Great place for a family or couple if you want a short drive into DC but also want get away from the hustle and bustle. A nice alternative to cramped hotel rooms. Well-equipped Kitchen, large deck with a barbeque and media room downstairs with a large flat screen TV. Upgraded bathrooms, including a spay shower in the master suite. Quick drive to Virginia's wine country. I stayed there will looking for an apartment during a recent relocation.

Cozy and beautiful home in exceptionally nice neighbourhood

My husband, daughter and I staid at Amy's house close to Wahington, D.C. during my husband's business trip. The house was perfect for us, it is very spacious and well kept. The kitchen has all the supplies that you can think of and the porch is large and has a gas barbecue and smoker (which we unfortunately couldn't use due to the weather). I particularly liked the bottom floor with chimney and probably the largest flatscreen tv that I have ever seen (including netflix access). The master bathroom has a fantastic steam sauna, just to mention a few of the luxurious treets that Amy's home has to offer. The neighbourhood is very nice, family-friendly athmosphere with some children around, yet it is very quiet. The house is located tight next to a little stream in the woods, perfect for a little walk in the morning or the afternoons. Overall, we can truly recommend Amy's house and would definitely choose to stay there the next time we visit Washington.

Fairfax Townhome, working Vacation

The location of the Townhome worked very well for my business trip, I spend enough time in hotels and to try and stay somewhere different when I can. With my wife, Brother and Sister In-law joining me with their 24 year old son the location worked great. The unit was furnished and had all the amenities required making some meals and using the outside gas grill. The only negative comment is that the home is too much like a home, lots of personal items from clothes to family pictures, dog toys in a basket, unopened mail, closets full of stuff, shoes, drawers full clothes to pots and pans on the Kitchen floor. I've stayed in VRBO properties before but I never felt like someone just moved out the week before and thought I'll make a little extra money and list my home on VRBO. Over all our experience was positive I would however recommend taking most of the personal items out of the home.
