I booked this place for the fireplace. It actually has a two sided fireplace neither work. The rest of the house was cool. If you’re looking for fireplace don’t book.
Wonderful to relax on the deck, reading, dining and enjoying nature. There was no doubt that the Hosts took great care to give their guests a perfect experience. Every detail in the house reflects their pride of ownership. During my 2 week stay I reached out 3 times with a question. Each time I received a reply within moments. A top notch experience.
We loved our time at the home on Candlewood Lake. The house was comfortable for our group and we loved the big covered balcony off of the main living room and kitchen. The kids and young adults all spent lots of time down at the dock and in the water which was just what we wanted. As the listing mentions, there are a lot of stairs, so it did hinder my mother-in-law from making it down, but we didn’t expect otherwise so it was definitely clear. Our point of contact for guest services was very attentive to any questions and/or concerns! We would love to come back again hopefully next summer and make it an annual trip!
The house was very clean and had everything we needed from a nespresso machine to a drip coffee pot, full kitchen with new appliances and utensils, lots of beach towels, kayaks, paddle board, blow up floats, paddles, life jackets, giant TV, fireplaces, brand new BBQ grill, great big porch with a newer wooden table and chairs. Private over the water lake deck with chairs , my grown children loved it for swimming, paddle boarding , and kayaking , they preferred it to last years lake house that only had access to a public swimming beach, they said it was much better, less boat traffic and more private. Beds were comfortable and lots of desk space for everyone that had to work, but try not to work if you come here. Wi-Fi worked good inside the house and has a secure password rather than something everyone can figure out. We had only one issue, the battery in the electronic lock died our last night , the owner and property manager responded within 5 minutes with a solution. The house sits up high above the lake, thus there are a lot of stairs down to the lake, but the steps are wide and lighted at night, even a big heavy guy like me did fine and got a good leg workout. The owner sends you a photo map of how to find the driveway, definitely needed as the GPS takes you to the road above. We will definitely come back and already miss floating in the lake with a couple of cold ones.
