**This home involves climbing down two sets of stairs to enter. If you have trouble walking up / down steps this home would not suit you. For those that do not mind the stairs... the views, ease of jumping into the lake & privacy on lakefront make it all worth it! **

Come relax with direct (deep) lake front access from our patios, decks, or private dock on Candlewood Lake. Four Season home.

Come by land (year round - Spring, Fall, Winter) (EV charger included-give notice of usage at time of booking) or come by boat (Summer).

The house sits 25 feet from the water’s edge. You have your own private access to the lake waters.

Home in Private Gated Walkable Community good for daily day lit jogs and strolls.

Great for boat watching (lake's pirate ship comes by too) with 180+ degrees of unobstructed lake views.

Choose to water ski/surf/fish or just deep dive right in - directly in front of our home. We are not in an inlet/ not in a no-wake-zone so your water toys are welcome here! Rentals available at the local Marinas. LOUNGE/SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.

The home has three floors:

-Top floor Master Suite bedroom with queen platform bed, full platform bed, computer desk and lounge couch. Closet & Built-ins. Crib optional.

-Main (middle/entrance) floor lay out includes open concept living and dining room combo. Main deck, Eat in kitchen and jacuzzi bathroom.

-Lower floor includes a bedroom with a king bed & walk-in closet, another bedroom with (2) single-twin beds - no closet, Standup shower bathroom, lower deck, tv room and laundry closet.

Outdoor: Kayaks included during the summer. Gas BBQ grill & gas fire pit included. Outdoor patios seating areas throughout the grounds.

Floating Dock Available: Memorial Day thru October 15th. Tie up your boat to this.

Local ski mountains/slopes nearby: Thunder Ridge Ski Area & Mohawk Mountain Ski Area nearby (at your own risk).

Stationary Fishing Dock Available: Year-round

Various Lake front patios, seating areas & nooks to choose from for relaxation.

This home comes with an EV Charger too. Do mention it at booking.

We do have neighbors however our home's location on the perimeter offers considerable privacy away from them. Also, you will not hear road noise (garbage trucks) from this home. You will hear lake noise -sounds of nature part of the time, lake activity the rest of the time.

Roadside Private Parking Area/Lot: Flat (Not Steep) paved & wide enough for 2 cars & 1 trailer; or if no trailer then 4 cars. No street parking. EV charger conveniently located. (Do mention the need for an EV charger upon booking.)

Three min from New Fairfield Town Beach, 10 min from ICONS, 440 Line, Stop and Shop, fast food, delis, daycares,

Quiet hours start at 10pm everyday.

The maximum (including children over 5 years old) are 8 people. No day time or night time guests above the 8 person capacity. Automatic charge of $200 per person per night if over the 8 person capacity.

Absolutely No Parties/gatherings. All visitors are checked in at Security Booth.

Be respectful of our neighbors.

No fireworks allowed on this property.

Children are welcome and MUST be supervised at lakefront - LOUNGE/SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. Deep Lake level in front of home starts off at 7 feet with a steep decline to 15+ feet and even deeper the further you swim.

***Must be 25 years of age to reserve property. Driver's License requested at booking to complete reservation***

***If you are looking to book for more than 28 days, please book in 28-day increments and ask us for a discount. ***

PET POLICY:
1. Pets under 20 lbs can be allowed with a $250 charge & with written request of owner approval.

2. Our landscaping and lawn is not dog friendly. If you are looking for a place to have your pets unleashed to roam free, this is property will not suit your habits/needs.

3. Pets must be walked on the asphalt. Pets must be kept on a leash when walked and cleaned up after. No pets allowed on the lawn/landscaping to keep the lawn greenery green year round.

4. The community is in a walkable community. It is a great place for a long walk with your leashed dog.

5. If you are looking to have your pet roam free, there are dog parks outside of our community, a short drive away called New Fairfield Dog Park & New Milford (Candlewoof) Dog Park.

There are many Exterior steps to enter home. Home is best for those that do not have difficulty climbing up and down stairs.

Beautiful lake front

This place has stunning views of the lake with a large dock to park your boat at. The house is on one of the most desirable place on candlewood lake, We had a great time. Place was clean and the owners are good people. Caught a large catfish off the dock. Spent the days on the boat around the lake and at nearby islands. Only heads up is there are stairs throughout the property so be able to climb stairs. Thanks and we will be back

Cozy lakeside holiday getaway

Our family's stay at Helen and Richie's property for the holidays was perfect. Waking up to views of the lake every morning, watching flocks of birds travel on the water and being surrounded by nature was all we could ask for. The house has all amenities provided in the kitchen, bathrooms etc. Location is convenient near shops, grocery, and restaurants in New Fairfield. The hosts were very responsive in communication and I appreciated them providing everything we needed.

Friends Trip

This beautiful home was very comfortable for a friends gathering with plenty of seating to enjoy the beautiful lake views from the deck or inside the house. The bathrooms were clean & the beds were comfortable. As the property description clearly states there are a lot of stairs which was not an issue for our active group. If ever looking to stay in this area again I would definitely look to return here!

Amazing v generous stay.

We loved everything about this house. The lake and the floating dock were perfect. We brought paddle boards and used the kayaks everyday. The views and patios were terrific. The house had everything we needed as a family of five and a dog. Generous number of spices, towels, blankets, etc. games / puzzles / and everything smells nice as well! If you enjoy climbing stairs and/or walking up and down steep inclines, this is the place for you! Unpacking our car was a blast. The house was spotless with great views of the lake. The lake itself is fantastic for boating, fishing and kayaking. We definitely had a memorable vacation.

We had a lovely time. Everything was great, this was our 2nd year there. I do think it would be nice if some updates were made-could use a new fridge(we brought our own water bc the water/ice filtration system doesn't work on the fridge. And our own ice maker, and -as the owners have stated it is a long/steep walk-so to be carrying waters down the driveway is a bit difficult) ) The decks also could use some TLC in our opinion. But all in all-its great!

We had a great time. Kids had a wonderful time fishing and swimming. Only draw back was the 54 steep stairs you had to climb getting too and from your car and the home. Has a senior it was tough. Anyone with a handicap would not be able to do it.

Lakefront Beauty

The property was as described and the living space was perfect for our visit. The deck and views are amazing. If staying at this property, you just need to be aware that it is very difficult getting luggage and groceries into the property. You have to go down a long flight of stairs, walk down a very steep driveway and then go down another flight of stairs. Once you are in, bedroom access requires that you go up or down additional stairs.

Wonderful Spring Girls Weekend

We came for a girls weekend. The house is beautiful with plenty of comfy seating. Super clean. The view is beautiful and fun to watch all the boaters. We could not get fire pit to work, but this could have been user error. I would caution others that the stairs are a lot! Definitely not for elders and a real workout, but this was clearly stated in description. Otherwise an absolute dream house with plenty of space. The attention to detail and decor (especially in the bathrooms) was appreciated! Thank you!

We traveled to CT with my parents for the week. Richie and Helen were very gracious. Their home is beautiful. They had everything a family would need on vacation. We needed to attend an event and I asked Richie if they had an iron/ironing board. They did not. Richie was at the door 30 minutes later with the items! The temperature dropped about 30 degrees while we were there. We texted about heat and they responded within minutes and turned on heat. We were very comfortable. My parents are 80 years old. They managed the steps. They thought it was great exercise! Of course the golf cart was available, but my parents opted out of it. We enjoyed the many sites and trails. CT in September is beautiful! This home is a gem.

Summer 22

We rented Anchors Away for 5 weeks this summer - The house is exactly as described. Everything that you need is provided - towels, linens, kitchen supplies, etc….. The views from the deck are gorgeous - Our favorite spot to unwind. We brought our boat and docked it right outside. We have 2 pre teens and a toddler and the home worked great for all. Helen and Richie were great hosts, very helpful and easy to communicate with. We would have stayed longer if we could. Would highly recommend this lake house.

Great Lake Candlewood experience with plenty of beds baths and most anything you need for a great time on the lake. Super fishing from deep water dock. Trout, perch and bass are abundant. Would recommend.
