About this property
The Opal and West House: Shelby's Modern Historic Inn
The Opal and West House is the perfect blend of vintage and modern. Originally built in 1860 as a private residence, the house has so much character and charm that was carefully and skillfully crafted nearly 200 years ago. It has since undergone a major renovation that made sure to hold on to the important history the house holds. Every single room was meticulously designed to bring in fun modern elements, while saving and restoring as many original features as possible.
With seven ensuite bedrooms (one with 2 queen beds), we are able to comfortably sleep 16 people. During your stay with us you will enjoy house made breakfast daily, either in the privacy of your own room or in one of the fun common areas such as: the dining room, lobby, private library, buffet room, patio and porches. You can either drink your morning coffee from the drip coffee station in the lobby, or you can use the nespresso machine that is included in every room.
The rooms are packed full of amenities! Every room has: a comfortable bed with luxury linens, comfortable pillows, a sound machine, a nespresso machine, a 55" flat screen TV with streaming, double vanities, a walk in shower with rainfall shower head, toiletries, luxury towels, robes + more surprises!
