About this property
Relax Inn the Grove Oak Room
The Oak Room is a comfortable second-floor retreat inside Relax Inn the Grove, our historic bed and breakfast in the heart of Forest Grove.
The room features a Full XL bed, desk and chair, and a private bathroom with a soaking tub and shower. South-facing windows bring in plenty of natural light, especially in the afternoon, creating a warm and relaxed space to come back to after a day out.
Each morning, enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast in the inn’s shared dining room before heading out to explore. Pacific University, downtown Forest Grove, local restaurants, shops, galleries, and City Park are all within walking distance.
Forest Grove is also a convenient starting point for Oregon wine country, with vineyards, tasting rooms, and scenic drives just a short distance away.
When you return, unwind on the shared wraparound porch or back deck, settle in with a book, or simply enjoy a quieter pace for a while. Oregon may bring the occasional chill; we’ll keep a blanket handy.
The Oak Room is one private guest room within Relax Inn the Grove, a four-room bed and breakfast. Your bedroom and bathroom are exclusively yours during your stay, while the dining room, porch, deck, hallways, and designated common areas may be shared with guests staying in the inn’s other rooms.
Whether you’re visiting Pacific University, exploring wine country, or simply looking for a comfortable place to spend a few days in Forest Grove, the Oak Room offers an easy, welcoming place to settle in.

The Inn is within easy walking distance of Pacific University and downtown. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is great. High marks to the host!
I never saw a host at all during the stay. There was NO breakfast, not even creamer for the coffee (Keurig machine) despite being asked about dietary restrictions. There was laundry (sheets and personal clothing?) piled up in the common areas. Cleaning supplies were left all over the house, although I don't think they were really used. The kitchen was a disaster, dirty dishes everywhere, food left out on the counter. The dining table had receipts and papers all over it. Our room was mostly clean, but other rooms in the house had the doors wide open with dirty beds, although it didn't appear that anybody stayed in them while we were there. The listing states there is a pool, but I never found it. The reservation process was frustrating - about an hour after my card was charged and the booking was confirmed, I got a message from someone saying the room wasn't available and they would refund my money. After going back and forth about it, the reservation wasn't canceled. Someone else contacted me the day before the reservation asking if we still intended to stay with them. I don't know who is supposed to be running that B&B, but it looks like they are just living in the house without taking care of the B&B or guests. I won't be staying there again. Unfortunate for them because I will be going back to Forest Grove at least monthly for the next couple of years.
how refreshing to have a legitimate B&B experience! marianne was such a wonderful host. she let me upgrade my room since there were no other bookings the night i was there, and the breakfast she made was phenomenal! i even got to pick what i wanted to eat, which i totally wasnt expecting. as a solo traveler, the extra mile was truly appreciated. the house is beautifully decorated and the wrap around porch is perfect for morning coffee. dont hesitate to book- this is surely the best option in the area!
