Perfect stay for our family with 3 kids under 12. Loved the view, the pool, and the jacuzzi. The location was perfect for the excursions we did while in la fortuna. Communication was always prompt and easy. Diego provided us with many options in the area and the directions were very helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay again when we return

Nice clean and modern

Was a great place just a short drive outside of town. We had a car and would drive into town for dinners / groceries. A nice townhouse complex in a little zone that is being developed. Great view of Arenal.

Overall a great stay

The place was very good. Very clean and in a great location with an amazing view. We got lucky on our first night and were able to see all of the volcano! I would 100% recommend this place except for the mattresses. They were unfortunately the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on in my entire life. It made it difficult to get a good night's rest. If it wasn't for this, I would give it 5 stars!

We use orthopedic, top-of-the-line mattresses with Euro Top cushioning and hypoallergenic materials, and this is actually the first time we've received a concern about their comfort. That being said, we completely understand that mattress preference can vary greatly, and if you're accustomed to a softer style, our beds may have felt firmer than expected. We sincerely apologize if this affected the quality of your rest, and we truly value your honest input — it helps us continually improve the guest experience. Very nice condo

This condo is very nice. It’s got high end finishings, great a/c, very nice beds. It is in a small new build complex with maybe 6-8 units. It’s in a little rural area just a few mins from La Fortuna. It’s definitely a construction area but there is no noise. The view of the volcano is amazing. The corrugated metal door you see at the end of the pool is the gate you open to pull your car inside by the condo. That area by the car is open to the next condo beside you. But not an issue. It’s for security. We had an issue with hot water and the breaker tripping. They fixed it the next morning first thing. The hot tub you have to fill and then heat so be prepared to wait about 20 mins to fill and 20 mins to heat. Overall I would stay again.also host very responsive on WhatsApp for anything.

Greetings, I'm Diego Blanco, the Founder & Host of Concierge Arenal Rental Services & Arenal Heights Villas, with over 23 years of experience in Costa Rica's vibrant tourism industry.

Raised near the captivating Arenal Volcano, I pursued studies in tropical biology and business at the esteemed University of Costa Rica. My journey in tourism began during college, where I worked as a cruise ship tour guide, igniting a passion for showcasing Costa Rica's natural wonders.

Following graduation, I dedicated myself to becoming a full-time nature guide and later transitioned into roles as a Tour Conductor for prestigious agencies like Abercrombie & Kent, Condé Nast, Wilderness Travel, Virtuoso Agencies, Geographic Expeditions, and others. These diverse experiences provided me with a profound understanding of service, luxury travel and hotel management.

Throughout my career, I've held various leadership positions, including Product Manager, Operations Manager, Hotels Director, Operations Director, and Sales Director for international corporations. Notably, I had the privilege of overseeing renowned entities such as Costa Rica Expeditions, a leading Tour Operator in Costa Rica and Latin America.
Additionally, I directed the esteemed Tortuga Lodge & Gardens and Monteverde Lodge & Gardens, where I had the invaluable opportunity to learn from Michael Kaye, a pioneer known as the Godfather of Ecotourism in Latin America.

After the pandemic, I embarked on a new chapter by co-found Concierge Arenal Rental Services & Arenal Heights Villas. Presently, we are dedicated to crafting 8 luxurious villas in the breathtaking Arenal Volcano area and managing 14 properties through Concierge Arenal services.

Our mission remains steadfast: to provide exceptional, personalized service, offering guests unforgettable experiences amidst Costa Rica's stunning natural beauty.

Why they chose this property

As a child, I fondly recall visiting the very location where Arenal Heights now stands. It was a cherished tradition for families in the area to gather on Sundays and journey to Arenal Volcano to witness its flowing lava and revel in its natural splendor. These Sunday picnics were commonplace, and locals affectionately dubbed this spot the "lookout fields."

In the 1980s, before any development took place, the customary route included a visit to the thermal spring river near Tabacon Resort, now affectionately known as "el Chollin," followed by a barbecue at the lookout fields that lasted until sunset. These memories from my childhood planted the seed of a dream within me: to one day create a tourism project in this very area.

Today, I am thrilled to have turned that dream into reality. Arenal Heights stands as a testament to my lifelong aspiration to share the awe-inspiring beauty of Arenal Volcano with the world.
