The Triangle Cabin is a unique little A-frame cabin with panoramic views, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Located only an hour and a half from Denver, you can easily escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, and retreat into nature. The cabin is thoughtfully decorated, with a spacious, recently renovated bathroom, a fully appointed kitchen, games and books to help you unplug. Relax in the hot tub, under the stars!
Please note: AWD or 4WD will be required to access The Triangle from September 1st-May 31st.
The space:
The Triangle Cabin has a large main living area, and an upstairs loft bedroom. The loft is appointed with a comfy queen sized bed, and the living area has a queen sized memory foam sleeper sofa. The back patio has a great seating area for star gazing in the evening.
Guest access:
You will have access to the entire house, and the entire 3 acre property, with the exception of the storage shed.
Other things to note:
The small spiral staircase is a tight squeeze, so please be aware.
Cell phone reception is spotty, but we do have WiFi.
Location:
The Triangle Cabin is remote. The only (human) neighbors are way off in the distance, and that's one of the things we love so much about the place. The wildlife neighbors stop by to say hello from time to time. We see pronghorn antelope, hawks, bunnies, hummingbirds, bluebirds, and we have been told the occasional moose stops by, although we have yet to meet them.
The cabin is just a few minutes drive from beautiful Kenosha Pass, and the Colorado Trail, which goes from Durango to Denver. Kenosha Pass is one of the best places to view the gorgeous changing aspen leaves in the fall.
Nearby Jefferson Lake and Tarryall Reservoir are great places for fishing, picnicking and hiking.
Local ranches offer horseback riding and ATV tours.
Getting around:
The Triangle Cabin is located about 5 minutes off of highway 285 on a dirt road. During the summer months, it can be easily accessed by a regular passenger vehicle, however we highly recommend leaving your low profile sports car at home (the road is a bit rocky). From September 1st-May 31st, AWD or 4WD will be required to access the home. No refunds will be given for guest's inability to access cabin due to snow/ice/rain/unsuitable vehicle.
