Just remoded, this home is waterfront on canal with access to Mississippi Sound and Mobile Bay, and easy beach access...a very short walk across to the gulf beach, The home features an open living area, washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, satellite TV, DVD, a wet wet bar in the living area, wireless internet, great covered porches with great views of sound and gulf, and easy access to the gulf beach. There is barbeque and beach gear in the storage room below for our guests. Covered parking and shaded patio and a nice barbeque area is under the house. Sleeps 6

The island is AMAZING very family oriented & retirement vibe. You are definitely on island time!!! Very relaxing & truly relaxing. The house is very quiet nice dock on the back, easy walk to beach across the street. Will be back!!!

Great Vacation

The house was as described - nice size and layout, great location and stocked with everything we needed. Check in and out was easy and communication was terrific. We enjoyed the outdoor space and the dock. My only recommendations was the yard needed some work - the pathway to the dock was pretty overgrown.

Perfect getaway

We absolutely loved our stay! The location is perfect. The house is beautiful and has a wonderful layout. We loved being on the canal too. The beds listed were incorrect when we booked, but it didn't affect us and has since been updated. Don't hesitate to book this home now!

Our stay.

We enjoyed staying here. The location was great! The only negative was the mosquitoes! They were terrible! A screened in living area would be a suggestion so people on vacation still can enjoy the outdoors after the bugs come out! I would highly recommend this house and the island.

Absolutely awesome

This is the perfect place to stay if you like the beach and fishing. We had 2 adults, a 14 year old and a 7 year old. We were able to fish from the pier right out back of the house and walk about 1 block across the street to the beach. You can sit on the front porch and see the beach. This house is very clean and is also equipped with everything you need except the food. There was even an air fryer. The front yard is fenced in and the back goes straight to the water. Both the front and back have awesome decks. The beds are all very comfortable and there was plenty of towels and wash clothes. We definitely will be visiting and staying here again. The real estate office handling the property has everything down to perfection. We had a late check-in with no problems and access for contact but we did not need anything.

Very nice home!

Communication with property management…great! Condition/cleanliness of home….great! TV’s hard to figure out, wifi….weak. Beach was not crowded and we met some great folks! Probably won’t come back though. Only because water wasn’t very clear and literally everything in Dauphin Island shuts down by 8pm. Wait times at most restaurants was ridiculously long. This place is perfect for retirees or families with little kids.

So RELAXING and so needed!

I’d been waiting to vacation on Dauphin Island for nearly a decade and I’m so thrilled I finally got the opportunity! My husband and our 4 sons (16, 14, 13, 12) stayed Aug 7-15 2021 and enjoyed every minute. The house was even larger and nicer than I’d imagined. The kitchen was very well stocked from small appliances (blender, pressure cooker, air fryer oven, toaster etc) to seasonings and tons of dishes. Plenty of linens for household use. Plenty of seating in the living room and kitchen. The kitchen appliances are large household sized so plenty of room to store groceries and cook meals and wash/dry laundry. Several vacuums and broom to keep the places clean as the sand there is “sticky” and tracks everywhere even after using the outside shower. We were very comfortable!!! I would say, plan to cook. The food on the island is very expensive. A simple meal of two burgers, two chicken strips, and two shrimp was no less than $100 for the six of us. We found that leaving the island and going to Greers Grocery store was a much better choice than trying to buy over priced groceries on the island. Though the gas station on the island had the best gas prices locally so fill up before you leave! A few things mgmt needs to address if they haven’t already: the grill needs to be replaced. I was counting on grilling out and was very disappointed we couldn’t. Tiny ants were in the master bathroom in the toilet area. The wine cooler was broken (not cooling but heated up and then error code). The doors are difficult to lock and unlock. For the amount that is charged to cleaning, I feel a much deeper clean should be completed for those nooks and crannies that we tend to overlook (ie. Dusting the top of the wall of the shower was thick with dust. Strands of hair in the bathroom drawer, corners of floor/baseboards) Kitchen should be labeled so guests can put dishes away neatly and locate what they need. The rusty broken handle at the outside shower needs to be replaced. It’s not safe!!! And the hose connection upstairs spays water all over the deck/house. NONE of the above took anything away from our relaxing time there.

great canal property with quick walk to beach

great location! Beach wagon in shed made a huge difference in lugging cooler and beach toys the 1-2 min walk to the beach. kitchen well stocked with dishes and appliances. Canal was great for fishing and kayaking. If the dock was repaired it would be perfect. great view of the sunset off back deck! Bring bug spray/citronella candles, mosquitoes are huge!

COVID Vacation

We had a wonderful time on our COVID vacation. The beach was just what we needed! The house was as listed and very clean. Short walking distance to the gulf. Our only wish was that there was a dock on the bay side out back for fishing. We got eat up by bugs standing among the weeds to fish. We found the kitchen to be very well stocked as well. Thanks for a wonderful time away from all the crazy of 2020!

Silver Cay

It was our first trip to Dauphin Island and we loved it. The rental was nice and roomy. It was just a short walk to the beach. I would definitely recommend staying here!!

Great beach house on the canal

My family and I had a great experience at the house. The inside was large and spacious for our family. It was very clean and well put together. We would love to visit again. We just wish there had been a dock or boardwalk to fish off of. We chose this house because there was a boardwalk along the shore to stand on and fish off of but when we got there it had been removed. Other than that it was perfect!

Felt like home

We spent a wonderful week on Dauphin Island. The home was a perfect location to enjoy the bay and the beach. It was a quick walk across the street to the beach and we had access to the canal behind the property. This felt like a home away from home. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to return again.

This was an amazing house!

My family enjoyed spending Thanksgiving at Dauphin Island. This lovely rental was very nice inside and the views from the front and back porch were awesome. The den was comfortable and the open floor-plan made cooking and hanging-out, just perfect. We were able to take our beloved pet Boston Terrier with us and she loved being at the beach too. We plan to stay here again!
