This recently built 6 bedroom 4.5 bath contemporary home with a stand alone GeoDome is located in the private gated community of Rancho Playa Negra. Just steps from the ocean and within a short walk to the quaint town of Playa Negra. It features all the necessary amenities for a relaxing vacation or intimate retreat. The mix of the incredible Teak woodwork and the simplistic flow of the home will allow you to drop right in and experience the Pura Vida energy in style and comfort.
The space
Rancho Playa Negra is located in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica, specifically near the town of Playa Negra. Playa Negra is a beautiful beach known for its dark, volcanic sands and excellent surf conditions. It's situated along the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, in close proximity to other popular destinations such as Tamarindo and Santa Cruz.

The property is very nice. Roads are quite rough but understand after all the rains they get torn up pretty badly. Exceptional closets and bathroom space.

Paradise!

Steps to paradise! Krysta and Ron’s home is located right across from the beach. The sunset is beautiful and the home is big enough for a very large group. We were 8 in total and had empty beds left over. The home was just as described, Krysta and Ron go above and beyond to make sure your stay is absolutely perfect. I’ll definitely be visiting again!

Family fun getaway

We had a great week at Casa Kurij! The house is absolutely beautiful! It is located right across the street from the ocean and had a great beach view. Our first night we were visited by a family of very sweet horses. The owners were very responsive and came Over to help us with whatever we needed. The only negative is that the town is a bit remote and the bridge that you have to cross to get the house gets flooded in heavy rain. I would recommend a heavy 4 wheel drive vehicle to be able to cross the bridge when it rains. I highly recommend Casa Kurij for an amazing escape. N̈ right over ..over to help immediately

We first came to Playa Negra just over 25 years ago from Santa Cruz California and fell in love with this wonderful small beach town. We purchased some property and have been traveling to back and forth until 5 years ago when we moved to Playa Negra permanently.

Why they chose this property

Playa Negra is a small "Pueblo" along the beautiful Northwest coastline of Guanacaste Costa Rica. It sits 30 minutes south of the busy tourist town of Tamarindo, 40 minutes west of Santa Cruz and 1 hours and 15 minutes from the Liberia International Airport. Playa Negra was a fairly sleepy village but grew popular for its world class surf break but also for its beautiful uncrowded beaches. Even though we have seen growth over the years it is a small town country beach vibe. Great variety of restaurants to choose from for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Small Cafes like Corazon Surf Cafe, or if you want to be beachfront the Playa Negra Hotel serves all day and has 2 for 1 cocktails at Sunset or world famous Villa Deevena to name just 3. Yoga, surf lessons, horseback riding, hiking, SUP tours are all available to help enhance your stay.

What makes this property unique

Kasa Kurij has a very tranquil vibe. The front of the house has the open space for everyone to gather around the pool, kitchen, dining, living room and front porch. Amazing space for entertaining the whole family or just relaxing and enjoying the ocean breeze and the famous Costa Rican Sunsets. The back of the house has 5 rooms plus the Geo-Dome so there is more than ample sleeping space away if you need to get rest before the rest of your crew or party.
