We had a great stay in this condo. It is very well stocked with lots of spices and condiments. The location was perfect as we were right in the village and close to restaurants, shops and grocery store. The newly remodeled bathrooms were very nice.
The unit is as advertised. The unit was clean, well stocked and walking distance to everything, ski lifts, restaurants, retail, grocery, liquor, etc. The owner quickly responded to questions and the front desk were friendly. Everything about the unit and Whistler in general exceeded our expectations.
Very convenient location. Unit was fully outfitted and very welcoming. Great for our family of 4. Owner confirmed reservation very quickly and communicated promptly during our stay. We’ll be back! Highly recommend!
Great Place to Stay!!! Super good location! Centralized
The property was in great condition. Has everything that you need or want. The owners are super helpful and great to work with. Will be staying again in July 2023.
The condo is accurately shown and described in the listing. The owner communicates very well and answered all our questions. Checkin and checkout was quick and easy. Would stay again on our next trip to Whistler.
Great host and great location! We enjoyed the home and its close proximity to the lifts. The home is close enough to all of the action in the Village but is on the quiet side of the building to avoid the noise of late night partygoers.
There were some communication issues with the front desk, but Jennifer helped us work through all of it. Jennifer also worked with us on a late checkout so that we could get in a few extra runs. A great basecamp for our trip!
Really enjoyed our stay here. Our party of 4 adults each needed their own sleeping space, and this place fit that bill nicely with the super comfy sofa bed and bunk beds. Also would be perfect for a family. The whistler shuttle from the airport dropped us off right in front at Town Plaza Suites (which Deer Lodge is part of). A lot of little conveniences such as the boot warmer, the entry way bench and many hooks, the fireplace, strong WiFi, and jacuzzi across the way. Easy walk to the lifts. We walked to both Blackcomb and Whistler. And the place is quiet; faces the library. Communication with the owners is quick and easy. Thank you so much!
Our family had an unforgettable family vacation! Loved everything about the condo and location. The Farinas/owners provided us with everything we needed (and more), including a late check-out. Without hesitation, we will stay again.
Two hiccups:
The dishwasher was unusable. The owners were very apologetic and indicated they would take care of it. This did not impact our stay.
The other was a long check-in process. However, the cheeriness of the staff made you forget the wait and set the tone for a great vacation. This likely can be avoided by not attempting to check-in when check-in begins at 4pm during a busy week.
I stayed with my 22 year old son and my brother in law for 4 nights for a quick in and out trip with 3 days of riding. The property was located in a convenient area, relatively close to the grocery store, restaurants and shops and was an easy walk to the Whistler base. While it was just three guys, we had plenty of space. We did not cook but the kitchen looked to be set with all the basics. The clothes washer/dryer were great as was the boot/glove dryer. The bathrooms were updated nicely. Jennifer the owner was a good communicator prior to and during the trip. I would definitely stay there again. Having been to Whistler maybe 10 times, I have stayed at a range of higher end/larger places and the other end of the spectrum. This was a nice unit that was more than fairly priced. High marks all around.
When looking for a ski condo, one of our priorities is the ability to soak in a hot tub after a day on the slopes. This property advertises that the "building has work out room and large shared hot tub." What isn't clear is that the building which has these amenities is across the public, main village walkway. I felt mislead in the description. Other than that, the condo is as-described. The couch could use a refresh (cushions wouldn't stay on), but in the grand scheme of things it was a non-issue. The hot water in the shower oscillated between hot, warm, and cool. When texting with Jennifer, it seems the hot water is centrally controlled across the building. If all of the units are occupied, there is a fight for the hot water.Location was good. Plenty of restaurants and stores to visit. It may be a 5 minute walk in comfortable boots to the gondolas, but definitely longer than that in ski boots.Lastly, skis and snowboards are not allowed in the condo - this is well marked with signs all over. They give you single locker, but we were hard pressed to get 2 sets of skis and 2 snowboards to fit. We ended up just keeping them in the car because it was easier. If you have more than 4 people (and don't have a car), I don't know what you would do - maybe they can give you another locker? When I return, I'll probably look for a newer building with a hot tub on-site.
The condo was super easy. Everything was clean. Everything worked. Parking was easy and cheap. It’s very quiet. Jennifer was awesome to deal with, super responsive and friendly. Also, because I care about this, the unit is very quiet. Maybe we got lucky with the neighbors or maybe there’s good noise isolation. There’s a hot tub in another building but ended up not using it.
For those that have never been to Whistler (this is my first time), there’s an upper part of the village by the Gondolas, there’s a middle part where this is, there’s a lower part, and a part that runs along the west side. The upper part of the village on the south end is very close to the gondola. This unit is in the second part. Still close - about a 10-minute walk. Most of the units we saw in this area (our friends were staying nearby) were similar in size: small, but real, two bedrooms. There’s a sledding hill for kids nearby (sleds under the bunk), a surprisingly good supermarket less than 5 minutes’ walk, and a ton of food options around.
The area that’s to the west, that requires crossing the a semi busy road, has bigger units, many with jacuzzis, etc., but it felt like a much longer hike, so we were glad to trade off some space for location, which was fantastic overall.
Deer Lodge 245 was an awesome place to stay for our family. It's on the quiet side of the village, and very centrally located. Facilities were all in good repair, unlike many rentals that have gotten pretty dated and worn down. There is even some video and board games! The day we checked in, there was a village wide power outage and some technical glitches. The owners were very responsive and the issue was resolved very quickly. We'd happily go again.
I had a wonderful stay at this property. Originally my nephew and his wife were to accompany me on this trip. But circumstances forced them too cancel. I know next year when we try again I will definitely look for this property again, as it would have perfect for the three of us. As it was I can not complain as it was just perfect for it just being me. A short walk to the lifts and close to my favorite restaurants. Till next year.
Great location in Whistler Village. Clean and comfortable. Be aware google maps will send you to the wrong location. Beds are comfortable and building is quiet. Would stay here again.
Updated Baths, Kitchen, and Laundry made this condo feel like home! And, the ski boot dryer was a bonus treat! Although we didn't do any cooking, the Kitchen is fully appointed. Located right on the pedestrian walkway...close to all the restaurants, as well as a full service grocery store. It's a quick walk to the lifts at the Whistler Base. Jennifer (and Vince, the Owners) responded promptly to all communications, provided a great list of local recommendations, and went above and beyond to insure that my children and I would make the wonderful memories that we just did!!!!

Why they chose this property
We have been coming to Whistler for over 30 years and are still finding new runs to ski/board. Summers are equally amazing w/ hiking, mountain / road biking, golf, zip lining, ATV tours and sightseeing. Every great day is finished with amazing meals in the village.
What makes this property unique
Right in the middle of everything. Driving up here, you will park your car and not see it again until it is regretfully time to go home. This is our second home and look forward to sharing with families that will care for it as much as we do.
