Perfect Getaway
The layout of this home was perfect for our family of four, with plenty of room to spread out out if we wanted to and a good size media/living room to watch movies, do puzzles and play games. It was so nice to be able to gather around a table for meals, and the fire pit was a favorite each night. The beds were a dream to collapse into after hiking during the day. We've stayed in several tiny homes in this community and LOVED that this one had more of a secluded feel and side "yards" to kick a soccer ball around. We will definitely be booking Wild Woodside Retreat again!!

Our favorite floorplan
Perfect house! Two real bedrooms and two real baths, with dining area with full size table, convenient kitchen and great screened porch. Bonus area is full, upright walking size. Beautifully decorated, loved watching the deer stroll through the yard, woodpeckers on the trees, cool breeze and quiet! You can live in this one any day.
Enjoyed this very cute, spacious and comfortable home during our visit to the Sewanee area. Very convenient to the university. Beds and all furniture were comfortable. The game table in the loft is awesome. Loved sipping our morning coffee on the screened porch. Beautiful wooded location, nice yard and gated neighborhood. Due to rainy weather, we didn’t use the fire pit but hope for the full experience when we return.

Awesome!
Our recent booking at “Wild Woodside,” was perfect. The house was spacious yet cozy on winter nights during our week-long stay. The beds were comfortable, with a choice of pillows of various firmness; the kitchen was beautifully outfitted; and the den was set up for relaxed TV viewing. Everything was clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully arranged. One day we visited The Cavern (a music venue just a short, scenic drive along a country road) and we enjoyed the famous chicken salad sandwiches for lunch in Tracy City at Dutch Maid Bakery (recently featured on “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives”). We are looking forward to returning soon to explore more hiking trails, and we plan to book another stay at “Wild Woodside.”
Visited the area to drop off our daughter off at Sewanee. Location to the University and Mountain Goat market was very convenient.Property furnishings were perfect for a rental...leather sofas, acrylic dining table chairs and bar stools.....easy to clean. Location of "tiny" home is recessed and nestled in a wooded lot...so if you are from the city and not accustomed to the outdoors...something to think about. Firepit outdoor sitting area was very nice and clean from debris and leaves. Family/Living Room was perfect for our family of 3 to watch movies and hang out. Easily could accommodate at least 5 people. Our only gripe was the level of cleaniness...the rugs could use a deep clean, and floors swept prior. We are kind of OCD with that stuff...so it might not be a big deal for some. Subdivision is gated and property had an alarm system...which was a plus! Property Mgt company very responsive and accommodating to early/late check-in and out request. The con....front door did not have any window treatments which created a full view into the home after dark. We just turned off the lights and that prevented people from seeing inside....now remember this unit is rescessed...so someone would have to intentionally be on the property to see inside. Overall, great location and large tiny home to comfortably fit a family of 5.
